Hey guys, I have an issue.
In the opening cinematic, the screen goes grey when subtitles are on-screen, when they're not I can see the cinematic fine. Any ideas on how to fix?
What server are the majority of you guys on

Brofist is actually genious, i sat down and spoke with him a little bit in p4/early launch, the amount of hate the name generates is amazing, it just shows the utter assholes with normal names because they just can't *help* but comment and flame him. He's actually a pretty chill guy.
Oh and if you're making a LS/GC Dai, feel free to add my character, Naofa Ulzrekki.

fiancé sees only one to two servers open at a time, but the target keeps moving. tried making a char on one of the open ones and it told her it was not allowing characters

Good launch day overall for me. No disconnections, hiccups, server issues - nada. GPU hasn't gone past 53 celcius.

also everybody's so paranoid about not being able to log in later that they're all fucking parking their characters for the whole day. Idlers are 90% the reason servers are all full as fuck and therefore the very cause of any login ability later

I'm waiting for SE support to become good so they can merge my service accounts... or cancel the second one and upgrade my first to CE. It's going to be a long wait.
you'll never get into just trying periodically, you have to spam it non stop
because somehow removing queues was a good idea in SE's eyes, or they just broke it and didn't bother to fix it
just tried to join hyperion again and finally got placed in a queue
i'm now logged in, but it seems daijitsu logged off so I can't add him to friends list :(
oh well, i'll try and join the linkshell

You might aswell just buy it now, because it uses a seperate account system anyway. Plus you can play your Char from phase 4.

I missed phase 4 unfortunately, I mainly played on phase 3.
Hmm, well maybe I'll see about just ordering it then when I have some cash. Any places that send boxed versions but a key before it arrives so you can still play?

I'm currently on Sargantas, so if you can't seem to start a character on there, you can always join my server and transfer when the time comes.
realistically, expect upwards of a month for server transfers to work on well populated realms.
after getting 'the world is full, try again later' messages all afternoon, finally

and 95% of the time there's only one or two servers open for character creation. Sometimes more, often only one, haven't seen a legacy open yet
