Try queuing with friends, preferably a tank or healer. DPS always have long queue times, in every single MMO ever.

my friends arent really into monthly subs, so thats not an option.
if the only argument otherwise is "hey youve been playing for a while now, but cant get past this mission? why not start from level 1 again!"

You can just go get a digital copy from Gamestop if they don't have physical copies, thats what I did. The server issue is mostly fixed (for now I guess), there are a bunch of servers you can hop on. If you want to play with any of us, just ask what server we're on.

I'm on Hades (JP), Zinzayen/Slayer are on Sargantas (NA), etc.

alright, since the server thing is a complete mess, let's just agree to break off into whatever servers we can and enjoy our time until the dust settles. If they don't give free/cheap transfers in a while I'd be surprised, but let's just vote on a new server when that comes about if it just becomes server scramble 2.0. I'd make a new char on one of the other servers right now but all of them are locked down at the moment

Figured it out on my own because fuck MMO support!

I pre-ordered it off square enix website, which goes through digital river.
I entered my preorder code into the preorder website, and played that way up until today.

What I wasn't told is that they just now gave me a new code, for the [i]actual[/i] release of the game.
So I logged into digital river and found my order, and got found 2 more codes there.
An "unlock code", and a "serial number".

Once you have those, head over to the [url=https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/ffxivshopacctop]square enix mog station[/url], and log in with your square enix account.

Once you're logged in, make sure you've selected your FFXIV:ARR account, then click on the icon below where it says "Account: none, Subscription: inactive". It should look like the FFXIV:ARR logo with a little + next to it.

At the next screen, you enter in the "serial number" you grabbed earlier. It will add 30 days of playtime to your account.

Fucking cryptic as hell.

i'll be on cactuar [NA] then.
ultros [NA] is up for registration atm. Will probably be closed by the time you get in the client and after character creation though.

moral of the story, have a name prepared to drop the instant you see an opening

Confirming i'm on Hyperion with a non-fp buddy. It's weird because i know you guys get the login issues, but i'm from UK so i just login during EU prime time with no issues every time, kinda sucks you guys can't join me :(
