I can't get the beta to work for me. I download it and download the patch but after the patch is installed it says i have an invalid file version or something. Anyone know how to fix this?

Realistically theres lots of things that people like to do that would clearly indicate they have a mental disorder and I'm confident in saying that if you enjoy Mortal Online it's probably because you suffer from some sort of mental disorder because no sane person could possibly think this game is even the slightest bit good. In fact I'll even go so far as to say this is one of the worst games ever created in the history of the human race and that the team working on it are more interested in scamming people than they are interested in making an actual game.

Yes, the game turned out to be a heap of shit.
But a scam? Yeah, of course. What a devious plan, spending months or even years creating a bad computer game while tricking people into thinking it's gonna be awesome, and then running an actual, functioning server to *trick* them into paying their monthly fee. That wouldn't have required a large investment of time and money at all before this devious *scam* started netting them money.
Dude they shipped their game and the CD they sent is literally 100% useless. You pretty much have to be mentally fucking retarded beyond comprehension to not think this is a scam. They even shipped it in an open unwrapped case with no manual or anything of the sort...4 months after they said they would. Not to mention they literally still only have about 2 days worth of playable content before you've essentially beaten the game. If this game isn't a scam then seriously what the fuck is? Mortal Online isn't a scam at all. I've heard it was pretty bad, but if they put some more work into the game I'm sure it'll at least be playable. A few of my friends actually enjoyed the beta, and although I haven't actually tried it myself, I've always wanted to.

Alright loomy, if this site is 'retard city,' why exactly are you trying to defend your outlook on it? I was there when Dark & Light went under, and I saw what happened. The game actually went free to play after awhile as well. I don't know if it's still going--probably not, but I stopped watching it after it went free to play.
If you're so worried about scams and the like, why not just wait a few months after the game is released before you purchase a copy? That's what I do usually, or at least wait for gameplay videos to surface first.
Yeah, my friends have played it, but I haven't, so what of it I don't have time to download and try every MMO that's released? Does that mean I can't form opinions from what I've seen and heard thus far? It doesn't appear to be a scam, but I'm not going to dive head-first and buy into a MMO, or any game for that matter until I have some solid evidence that it isn't going to be entirely horrible.

The guy who died was a guy i provoked into attacking me, so I called guards on him to kill him and take his loot. then i went into the banking area which had a shit load of people in it. Some guy started to attack me so I tried to run away out of the banking area, as soon as I was out in the open I called guards, but I died, and happened to lose all of my shit, because my money was in another towns bank and I brought a shit load of stuff from that town to this town.
He was probably just pushing you and not hitting you, and then you called the guards one to many times.

Depends on the location. Razorbacks are superior money, but unless you are in the right place they are too far away from a vendor to beat wisents in the long run.
