probably worse, if you hate the movement in ArmA 2 then you will hate this aswell. It's just not fun to play
Well I personally love the movement in ArmA 2, but I know most don't.
next generation graphics, eh? [editline]12:16PM[/editline] haha
The movement is sluggish as shit.
I hope you're not referring to combat with that axe from your starting package.
Dunno what qurl is talking about. I've had the beta since Block A (The first to get in), played it for a week before my computer died, and just got it onto our other computer last week. I've had a lot of fun. There is a good amount of work to do, and I agree on the fact that it probably won't be out for Q4, but as is it is still a lot of fun. There are a good amount of friendly people and guilds, and even with hardly any of the features in, I'm having a blast. Movement isn't that bad, and once you know the basic, basic, lay of the land moving around is easy. And with a full loot sandbox PvP game, PKers are a big threat, and you can feel it traveling the world. Kinda rambling on, procrastinating my homework, and possibly breaking the NDA, so I'm going to shut up now.
qurl made me change my mind halfway through checking out. Fuck. Can't push myself to finish it.
I haven't played it yet but I can say that visuals aren't everything in a game maybe to some people but to me its mostly fun with friends.
qurl made me change my mind halfway through checking out. Fuck. Can't push myself to finish it.
I'm not exactly a reviewer, don't listen to me. I just find it extremely tedious and boring. (this is coming from someone who plays runescape)
So what's up beta testers.
So what's up beta testers.
The NDA is still going, they can't reveal much. Also I too believe that they would need more time, but I also think that a lot of the features are just wishful thinking by the users, the developers have said multiple times that they will put down the basics first, then add features through patches (which sounds perfectly reasonable, the core game is what needs to be solid, the rest can be added later). I'm not saying that the game will be featureless at release, just that stuff like ships and sieges won't be in at release. Of course I'm not in the beta so I can't know how much is actually working and how much isn't.
Man this game looks so unfinished
100% sure this game is a failure and it also might just be a total scam entirely, if you paid $$ for this then call your CC company and claim fraud and I'm almost 100% sure you'll get your money back still anyone who says theyre having fun in this game hasn't played it more than a day since you can basically do everything the game has to offer in a single day...the game is well over 2 years from being finished

well I took the time to make an account just to warn everyone of the total bullshit that mortal online is if you disagree then odds are you're a retard or a completely ignorant blind faith fanboi(which also means you're retarded) because as far as I'm concerned, Mortal Online is the biggest failure of an MMO in the history of MMO's and in no way shape or form will it EVER succeed I've played beta since day 1 and have over 100+ hours logged in it and believe me the game is a fucking joke...the entire game feels like it was scrapped together in a few months and is easily still years from being finished

Your argument is also pretty hackneyed. At least present some points other than 'feels like bla', as that is just opinionated bull. Edit: Also, remember that it isn't exactly finished right now. I don't think many people recall a beta is meant for testing, and not just 'see if you like it', which is the current mentality thanks to games that use a beta to advertise more than actually test the game.
The devs said the majority of features will not be implemented until at least a year after release. So its just gonna be PVP and pretty landscapes.
The devs said the majority of features will not be implemented until at least a year after release. So its just gonna be PVP and pretty landscapes.
Majority of features not till at least a year? That sounds like a bad plan to me. Sorry I'd rather wait.
The devs said the majority of features will not be implemented until at least a year after release. So its just gonna be PVP and pretty landscapes.
And crafting and PvE. I'm happy they are doing that, I'd rather have few but solid features than a shitload of stuff that is buggy as hell. Also crafting is going to be a huge part, at least for me. It's still going to feel featureless the first months, but then again so do most MMOs (AoC for example was both featureless and buggy at launch). Also I won't really be listening to the whines and moans, I know this kind of game, it's the unforgiving kind (you die you lose everything, fighting isn't just mashing buttons or pressing auto attack and you can't "farm" the same boss over and over with your pr0 1337 guild to get good drops), so it's bound to generate a lot of whiners (ArmA 2 did the same with it's realism, especially when it came to movement, even if it's a very different game). The best thing to do with games like this one is to try them by yourself. [editline]11:06AM[/editline]
Majority of features not till at least a year? That sounds like a bad plan to me. Sorry I'd rather wait.
Yeah, it would be a good idea to wait 6 months or so. I'm going to buy it at release probably (unless everybody says it sucks hard), but that's just because I want to see how it turns out (and I like the main ideas behind it a lot).
what exactly don't you get? this game is NOT going to be released...it is a COMPLETE SHAM They will not get enough subscribers to sustain the game and it WILL be shut down and the game will no longer be worked on and it will die...who the fuck do you know that wants to pay for a game that has virtually no content? how god damn delusional are some people that they are so desperate for the next biggest mmo that they'll swallow shit from any dev team talking about ridiculously wild cutting edge MMO ideas. sorry to break your hearts but any time spent dwelling over this game is simply time lost...erase it from your minds completely and I am 100% certain you will thank me later.

Not to play, but to give devs some money.
so you're going to spite me by giving away money to scam artists? lol...? go for it~
so you're going to spite me by giving away money to scam artists? lol...? go for it~
Scam artists don't license unreal3 engine as far as I know.

I feel dirty knowing I actually payed to play this piece of shit. [editline]02:20PM[/editline] i don't even remember my user/pass, thats how boring and tedious this game is.
Besides this thread, I've talked to some other people who have given it bad reviews to. I'm hoping that with all content and its final product changes the game drastically.
Update on the website: http://www.mortalonline.com/news/oktober-31-10-09 Looks like taming and housing are being implemented (and they have gotten MassiveLOD to work finally).
dude just like every other god damn feature in the game, it is going to be totally half assed and shouldnt even be worthy of mention look at the amazingly awesome crafting system they have in place...oh wait, its a total piece of shit and doesn't even do 1/10th of what they claim it can do(craft millions of different items with mini games to make you feel like you're actually crafting lolz)...I mean for fuck sake the crafting system is done by NPC's...not even players... anything they tell you now is just to save face as much as humanly possible and make you think theres still a glimmer of hope for this painfully massive failure of a game

Nobody gives a shit.

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=sv&u=http://www.starvault.se/090506_StarVault_DelarsRapport.pdf&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dstar%2Bvault%26hl%3Den&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhgW8S8o04sXghRDJib0EHcBtC7Ozg Bit of a long link, but if you go down to page 7 it shows there the amount of money they had at the end of march. Mind you, that was before the pre-ordering of MO was available. It shows, if I'm not mistaken, that they had nine million USD. Running at the rate they do, that wouldn't have run out for quite some time, and it had a nice boost with the MO sales. And if you think they are faking this, I believe there are plenty of laws that would screw them over, along with the people financing them. Not only that, but the devs show every sign of it NOT being a sham, such as talking with the community, responding to feed-back, putting in some hard work on the beta, releasing better and better versions that constantly patch up stuff/add more things, and with each one, less things are messed up. Sorry to break it to you, but your arguments are repetitive are backed up with nothing but wind, and for the most part sounds like you like another game that might suffer from MO's success, or maybe your just stupid. Edit: Also, I'd like to remind every one saying people are giving it bad reviews that, no matter what any one might say, no one has played the full, finished version yet. Many rather important features, such as housing, or the entire crafting system, haven't been implemented yet. Really, it has been in more of an alpha stage than beta, if you want to get picky about it. The betas we see, such as Halo 3's beta, or the betas that fileplanet hosts, are all marketing ploys, and are not meant to do much fixing besides networking on a large scale. The game itself is usually done by that point.
Tinhead it's 9 million kr. Around 1.2 million in dollars. Just wanna stay in the facts. I believe that this game won't fail just for a single reason and that is that they are swedish developers. They deliver and success.

All I can see is a (USD) in the top left corner on the money statements.
