Find the torrent it's trying to use and download with another torrent client. I got 0.2kb/s from the update but I get [B]1-1.5 mb/s [/B]by downloading it myself.
The torrent is found in the Patches folder of the Mortal Online folder.
Do you still need to buy the game to be in the open beta?

I can't understand anything in this game. You just spawn and all I see is naked people trying to kill eachother. Now I am aware of the fact that this is a beta and it's far from done but some sort of intro would've been nice.
Right now you can't do that much, the new update borked something big time, aquiring new skills.
There are plenty of people willing to help if you hop on IRC.
New patch got released, it fixed lots of things except the lag.
Lag was reduced, though, now you can actually play it but it is still unbearable.
I've been "playing" it for the past 3 hours.
It is ridiculously buggy. None of the skills specified in the descriptions are added to my L menu, which is retarded. I really disliked combat too. I almost almost killed one of those deers, then some dude did a drive by on his horse and killed me in one shot.

I managed to kill a "weasel" after hitting him in the face with an axe about 20 times. I looted his shit from the bag of loot that looks like 20 pounds of pork chops.
Than i walked into the town, some dude spawned in front of me and hitted me for 400 damage.
I logged off... And i am not coming back for a while.
That guy was a guard, you either walked into a hostile town or killed/attacked another player.

Cannot connect to the remote server means the server is down.
Don't use the patcher to download, go into your MO folder and look for the patches folder.
Use the torrents in the patches, its faster.

I tought; maybe if I press the interact button I'll help him up. So i went in front of him and tried helping him up, instead I saw a brief animation where I ripped his head of with my bare hands.
