The multiplayer was good (unexploited) for the first 3 weeks.... Loved it.
quickscopers ruin the game.
HAHAHAH. No. You're confusing that with quickscopers who then shittalk because they are quickscoping. They didn't ruin shit.
Actually everyone on the forum was pretty excited about it until they said there would be no Dedicated Servers. Then everyone started hating it.
It was good in SP
The only good thing about MW2 is captain price. that guy is a badass
I only bought the game because all my friends were buying it, When I bought it I went straight into special ops and 3 starred everything before even going into multiplayer and the campaign...After Special Ops The campaign was easy on veteren. Multiplayer is okay if you can get on a roll. I have the ps3 version and the team balancing is a load of shit, as soon as you prestiege EVERY game has like 10 level 70 highest prestiege players and it's just ridiculous...They are always noobtubing tactical knife fags. These problems need to be fixed...
As someone who was originally really against the game (I got sick of people freaking out like it was the best game ever made), I have to say that I actually enjoyed the story. The end was especially good. However, once I beat the campaign on Veteran and played some of the SpecOps stuff, I gave the game back to my friend. I played online once, maybe twice, and then decided that I had no real interest in playing it anymore. I had pretty much gotten everything I needed out of the game. It's not a spectacular game by any means, but the story should keep some people entertained. I avoided online play and just stuck to playing 4-player split-screen with a few friends. Much more fun.
I played a bit of MW2. It was pretty meh. Then I played BC2. I can't even look at MW2 now. Uninstalled and threw the case + disk in my closet. Probably couldn't find it now if I wanted to.
The maps in MW2 are freaking awful. [editline]03:09PM[/editline] Especially when you combine them with the weapons and killstreaks in the game.
No, practically every gun is overpowered. Scar, M4A1, Tar, heck even the FAL since 80% of users use modded controllers to shoot fast. Akimbo, Grenade Launchers and RPDs. Oh, laggy winning match kills, laggy connections and Host Choosing that doesn't work.
scince i dont have xbox live (my brother's copy.) i always play singleplayer. completed it, and i didnt know the plot until someone posted it.
Despite some fucked up balancing, the gameplay is fun and rewarding. However, it has a shitty community and the storyline is fucking stupid. I enjoy playing it, but I think it's a pretty bad game because of the story.
On paper, yes. Multiplayer with modular weapons and abilities to customize your player character, kill streaks that reward excellent play And a single player that promised action of Michael Bay quality. Too bad it had to be present day and you are fighting terrorists/12 year old kids with 'nade launchers. And also fully blown out of proportion for what MW2 delivers. Push it forward a few thousand years, make none of the projectiles metallic, all the guns unique and remove egregious kill-streaks, the horrible level system and it's appeal to the younger crowd. And then you may have a game that would be remembered fondly instead of the shambles that MW2 is now.
I still plays it and like it. But I got hacked the first day to level 70 prestige 10. But hey. New game soon.
no, someone hated it, and then it went on to bandwagon hating it from there on :/ nothing really wrong with the game.
Couple of wrong things here and there, but basically the above. Every gaming comunity has started to suck nowadays, so I can't really complain about MW2 in that spot. Only a couple of annoying kids here and there. Hackers are a dying breed, only saw like 2 or 3 boosters ever since the game was released. Aside from that, unbalance issues that end up being used and abused because they make the game easy. Also, some technical errors, but nothing special sometimes.
If you want to experience a great multi in this game. Make a match with your friends and restrict some weapons
CoD4 had the same problem. BF2 most definitely has a problem with hit detection. I haven't played TF2 extensively, but since it's the source engine I'm sure it shares the same problems with CSS, such as bullets curving corners and bullets not registering much like every other fps. Not sure about SWAT4 or ArmA 2 though.
Reread my post. Of course no game is perfect. But my problems with Battlefield 2 were fixed with some quick config editing, and any problems I've ever encountered in TF2 or Counter-Strike were all because I was playing in a server further away from me than Great Britain. The problems when I played MW2 were especially egregious because of the severity of the problem and the frequency it occurred. Even in games where all the participants had decent connections, there were instances where I would fire my gun several times at an assailant, but have it never show up on the kill cam. That never happened to me in CoD4. The hitboxes are equally ridiculous- there's hitbox for one's head is easily half a foot wider on every end, and I've killed (and been killed) with shots that should have rationally missed. Half of my successful throwing knives ended up lodged in an invisi-kidney a good seven inches away from the body. Half of that is the game. The other half can be seen in other games that use peer-to-peer for their multiplayer, such as GTA4 and Red Faction: Guerilla, where a single poor connection or host can ruin the game for everybody.
I don't hate it. It's just that it's not really my style. And no dedicated servers.. [editline]09:50PM[/editline]
The only good thing about MW2 is captain price. that guy is a badass
He's more badass in MW.

CoD4 had the same problems, but it's never been as bad as you describe it. Seriously. You're blaming the game for latency that's on your end, not to mention the not-completely-accurate killcam. Tell me, while you were getting killed because of hitboxes twice the size of your head (even though they're not), did you ever like shoot back? Did you shoot an inch away from the guy's face and miss?
It certainly is addicting, but it's a terrible game. I played it on the xbox for a few weeks. Once I got all the good unlocks, the game got boring and I quit.
Nope.
I should be 51 headshots from unlocking the Fall camo on the FAMAS. That gun is a beast. Not only is the comunity shit, its also dumb as hell. If you got good instincts and know how some people might react, you got them on the palm of your hand.

It's not latency on my end, I can assure you.
Tell me, while you were getting killed because of hitboxes twice the size of your head (even though they're not), did you ever like shoot back? It's very hard to miss someone coming straight at you down a long, narrow passageway.
MW2 is great. You fags are just mad that n00bs can kill you because it's balanced so that beginners can still score kills with "cheap" weapons like the n00b tube. Suck it up and stop being such pussies.
If the community shaped up, they fixed game-breaking balance issues, got rid of IWnet, it would be a great game. Oh, and if the maps didn't cost 15 dollars.
I played with an FMJ striker, Commando pro, Marthon pro. I would sprint around spraying high powered shotgun ammo, and stabbing people. Total twitch gaming, would get me to the top of the scoreboard every round. People would get really pissed off, that's the only novelty I found in the game.
Yes, as a matter of fact there wa- Okay, I couldn't finish that shit with a straight face. To answer your question, no. The game was Shit, the people who played it are shit, and the game is unbalanced as hell. I actually sold it it sucked so bad. Then used the profit to buy Dead Rising 2.
ITT: People who like the game, people who love it and think those who hate it are noobs, people who bandwagon hate, people who hate with legitimate reasons.
ITT: People who like the game, people who love it and think those who hate it are noobs, people who bandwagon hate, people who hate with legitimate reasons.
You pretty much covered every single base there. Was that necessary? :raise:
