I'd like to see a sequel to this game, except with added depth and stuff.
You're in charge of the checkpoint, so you have to hire guards, choose where they are/patrol, their equipment, security measures, but you're still stamping the papers.
On top of this at the end of the day you have to then go through the detained people and phone up the embassies of the other nations and check the identities and stuff of the people.
I'd like a sequel to this but set in a border checkpoint between countries like.. Colombia and Venezuela. I was once in one of the border entries and it was a literal shithole. Shanty-ass town around it with all sorts of mean looking people around. The bus attendant that we were travelling with told us all sorts of terrible shit that happen in that place like drug and weapon smuggling, human trafficking (especially underage girls used for prostitution) and hell, my family and I even had to pay some money to the border officers because the majority of the people on the bus didn't want to get their bags checked so everyone paid a little bribe fee so that they let us go without checking. We weren't up for it but we had no choice.
Sooo, did the game update for anyone else?
http://papersplea.se/update/?ver=1.0.36-S&os=win
Ending 16. Great game.
I haven't lost anyone yet but I didn't have enough money to afford [sp]adopting the niece and the next day she's gone :([/sp] What happens if I did? Anything change?
[sp]god DAMMIT I should have known this[/sp]
First go, ending 4/20, worst ending of all years
What's a good strategy on what to buy at the end of missions?
I only bought medicine when people were very sick.
When should I pay for heating, and when should I buy food? There's no 'very cold' or 'very hungry' attribute, is there? One day everyone but my mother in law died, and I felt really bad about it. That is.. Until I saw what the food now costs now :D

I alternate, food one day heat the next. It saves money and seems to have no repercussions.
Is everyone run-time erroring from the latest update? I need my passport fix :(
Just got ending 19. (Just checked the wiki, I guess it's the "true good ending" - better than 18.)
[sp]EZIC bombed the wall and many people rushed in. "Inspector, it's a glorious day!". Apparently, the revolution has started and EZIC found me and my family better living, employing me as an agent, as position of the inspector was no longer needed. I saved everyone including niece saved. Also, what was sweet was that Jeorji showed up on the last day and gave me 40 bucks for free, apparently scoring big. I didn't need the money, but it still made me happy to see him doing well.
I would sorts of expect this to be the ultimate happy ending. I wonder what the number 20 is. (Ending 20 is never helping EZIC at all and being 100% loyalist. It gives you a code for unlocking the endless mode)
Anyway; GLORY TO NEW ARSTOTZKA[/sp]
I like all the references to Edward Snowden..
ending 18 woowoo
So, I wonder how long it will take for fan games now, he set up this pretty neat universe for it and I expect other people to make some stuff set in it now.
I would love some game based on what happens after ending 19 ([sp]d above), obviously, it would have to be wholly different gameplay.
I kind of just want a fan-game of any of these.
Playing as jorji smuggling shit.
Creating fake passports/etc and keeping up with countries changing their regulations.
Organizing security/whatever along multiple checkpoints.
General EZIC fuckery.
I would really love a good spying game. Not Splinter Cell sneaky backstabby bastard kind of a deal, I mean real spies. Cover names and cyphers in underpants and being a triple agent and forging clues and shit.
[editline]12th August 2013[/editline]
If it was in Arstotzka world and with similar graphics, it would be pretty awesome.
We need an Assasin's Creed game modified to play as an EZIC agent.
I wouldn't be surprised if the guy would actually make another game in the same universe focused around similar things. I mean, before this, he made a game where you're in charge of the main newspaper of Republia.

I hope he does, I get the feeling that we're only scratching the surface of what could be a really interesting game world.

In a brilliant reversal of game mechanics, you need to cross the border, making sure you have all the required papers with correct dates, stamps, and ID numbers.
Wait, does anyone know how to grab the art files?
If no-one does il send dukope an email asking for permission.
If I recall, some of the art files are easily accessible from the demo version of the game.
Seeing all these black bars and ending numbers tells me the final game indeed delivered more content than the demo which was too much fun on it's own.
Sent an email anyway, If i get permission/art assets i'l toy around with some ideas.
Modding support is being added in later

The update did this to me as well, but after a bit of looking around this solution worked for me

I need to learn to fucking read, nevermind.
For a guy who seems pretty stupid, Jorji is very clever.
Jeorji is [sp]either the kind of superintelligent criminal who feigns stupidity to decrease his suspiciousness, or, he's just preposterously lucky.
Another thing that came to my mind is that he might be under influence of the drugs he tries to smuggle, half the time, and is less incompetent when sober. Still, best character in the game.[/sp]

[sp] He seems to have connections with the police as well because I detained him the one time and afterwards he came back through immigration asking how I was [/sp]
I got ending 16 today!
[sp]Though I didn't get enough Obristan passports to save my Uncle and my Mother-in-Law, and I didn't have enough money to afford the citations I was getting for stealing the passports so I wouldn't have been able to save them anyway D: [/sp]
Someone should make some kind of t-shirt out of something from this game, I'd buy that.
