This game is a shitton of fun, although highlighting discrepancies can be a bit confusing at first.
Fuck you Arstotzka.
You process migrants at border of GLORIOUS ARSTOTZKA like how you consume GLORY VODKA: quickly and dreadfully.

Only if it was an emmigration service that killed anyone trying to leave the country

God damn this game is cool!
GLORY TO ARSTOTZKA
Also It'd be interesting to see another game in this universe where you play as a corrupt general dealing with the fuckloads of dissent and rebels.
On his site he has some other games, but they're not really that deep. The newspaper editor one is decent.
I am vigilant but quick. I already have somewhere around $70 in savings.
I am really enjoying this. I find myself getting into this a lot more than I should. "Haha, Kolechian scum! Denied!" [editline]21st April 2013[/editline] Oh my God. I don't even know why I don't like Kolechia. The only reason I can think of is that Arstotzkan's government told me not to. Brilliant thought experiment in there somewhere.
I wish the "Entry Denied" stamps like a hammer it would feel 100x more satisfying, not like it already is
I wish the "Entry Denied" stamps like a hammer it would feel 100x more satisfying, not like it already is
I wish the game registered when you were spam-clicking that stamp and put a pressed-down effect on the passport. I mean, I can't be the only person who was underwhelmed when I pressed that stamp down on the same spot five times and nothing changed.
I wish the stamps weren't attached to that thingy, so you could STAMP down on documents instead of politely clicking the DENIED all over them.

My actual job is data entry. I look over invoices, type the name/address/phone number into a computer, stamp and sign it; if there are problems I give it to my superior. This is an interesting game. [editline]21st April 2013[/editline] put this video in the OP
I don't think there's a need to be a dick about it, that bit of the game honestly wasn't very intuitive at all
I don't think there's a need to be a dick about it, that bit of the game honestly wasn't very intuitive at all
psssst it absolutely was if you take a moment to read [editline]21st April 2013[/editline] "Missing documents can be correlated by highlighting counter and pertinent entry in rule book."
I don't think there's a need to be a dick about it, that bit of the game honestly wasn't very intuitive at all
It literally tells you exactly what to do in the daily bulletin. If you aren't reading your staff memos you aren't doing your job properly. Glory to Arstotzka.
I don't think there's a need to be a dick about it, that bit of the game honestly wasn't very intuitive at all
I bet, the printed citation was more than enough for anyone to figure it out. Game was teaching you to steadily the use of comparison tool. I was stuck (confused actually, I thought he was going to detonate himself) on it too, until citation came and I went through it like nothing happened, video describes it nicely.
It literally tells you exactly what to do in the daily bulletin. If you aren't reading your staff memos you aren't doing your job properly. Glory to Arstotzka.
Pretty much. It's a strange game about paperwork and bureaucracy, it's intuitive in its own odd way and having to deal with everything in static rules and memos suits the style of it perfectly. On that note, I rejected someone because they said they were staying for months yet the permit said a week and when interrogated, they just changed their story. I got a Citation over it because apparently intending to overstay your permit doesn't count.

So if that is true in all cases, then people should know long before the old guy shows up that exactly what to do.
they probably just deny her right away instead of pointing anything out
I didn't really think about it because that thought never crossed my mind since I knew what to do.

The girl is manlier than the boy is.
Game looks really good. I'm addicted to it! :v:
I'd love to see a Half-Life version where you accept citizens at the train station from different Cities.
The girl is manlier than the boy is.
That's how they like their girls in Arstotzka.
really enjoyed playing it. i refused one guy, cant remember why, he came back the next day with a passport he had made himself, felt really bad so i just let him in and he gave me a token. caught the murderer and the trafficker too which was good. took a bribe for $5 but towards the end of the beta it was getting complicated spotting stuff, fingerprints and photos are good fun :) definately wanna greenlight this
I felt bad for that woman who was married to the previous guy that got in. [sp]Couldn't accept her.[/sp]
Rather than checking fingerprints manually you can use the inspection tool to save time.
