• How I took 10 months to beat Ikaruga, a 23 minute long game.

I have never heard it referred to as a GCN. Hell, I've never even heard it called a NGC. OT, that's pretty badass, OP. I've never really beaten any hard games. Best I've done is Veteran on MW2 (campaign and Spec Ops) :smith:
GCN is Game Cube Nintendo. If GCN stands for Nintendo Game Cube then USA means States of America United. It sounds bad.
Why do you keep typing GameCube as two words? Also, an abbreviation doesn't include words such as the, by, is, at, etc. So GCN would probably be GameCube by Nintendo hence the strange order.
Because Game and Cube are two words. Why do you keep making dumb posts?
Because Game and Cube are two words. Why do you keep making dumb posts?
GameCube is one word when talking about the console. Pot calling the kettle black.
Games were hard back then because they were poorly made or were like Mega Man
That's a rather flawed generalization. Castlevania, Ghosts 'n Goblins and Battle Toads were all like Mega Man? That's just to name a few really good hard games.
Asking why GCN doesn't mean Nintendo Gamecube and then trying to top me or something by calling out that I said Game Cube as opposed to Gamecube. I'd say that expression is more fitting to you. Most games have artificial difficulty. And what I meant by "like Mega Man" I meant crafted to be hard.
Asking why GCN doesn't mean Nintendo Gamecube and then trying to top me or something by calling out that I said Game Cube as opposed to Gamecube. If I wanted to call you out I'd say that you don't know what your talking about.
I wasn't calling you out. I was asking why. Legitimate question =/= calling out. If I wanted to call you out I'd say that you don't know what your talking about.
You couldn't have possibly thought that I wasn't aware of it being Gamecube? That's extremely simple deduction. I'd still say it was a dumb post.
And what I meant by "like Mega Man" I meant crafted to be hard.
A valid point. You should have said that in the first place.
Castlevania isn't really hard. And Ghost 'n Goblins is also made by Capcom. Like 20% of the old games have legitimate difficulty. Most games have artificial difficulty. Well I thought that would imply what I meant, sorry. [editline]08:44AM[/editline]
A valid point.
Ha! Ninja edit
You couldn't have possibly thought that I wasn't aware of it being Gamecube?
Yea, I did. It's something only an idiot would do.
Oh and by the way, to the whole GCN debate, I took the time to google it and voila: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCN
I don't know about that. It's probably a fairly common mistake. Especially since it's acronym is GCN. [editline]08:50AM[/editline]
Oh and by the way, to the whole GCN debate, I took the time to google it and voila: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCN
We're debating that it sounds dumb. We know that's the name. I just don't think it should be called that.
Oh and by the way, to the whole GCN debate, I took the time to google it and voila: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCN
That doesn't mean anything.
Is the game worth 40€ used? I just found it on a site that has it in stock. [editline]07:53AM[/editline]
That doesn't mean anything.
Go into the actual article and read then. "officially abbreviated as GCN in Western regions"
Probably not, just get it on Xbox Live if you can.
Don't have either 360 or PS3. I'm not going back to console gaming unless PC gaming dies
Go into the actual article and read then. "officially abbreviated as GCN in Western regions"
WE KNOW THAT! God.
Is the game worth 40€ used? I just found it on a site that has it in stock.
I know you can find it way cheaper on other places, but the game is too great to decline if there's no other place to get it.
I know you can find it way cheaper on other places, but the game is too great to decline if there's no other place to get it.
I just bought it for $30 CAD on ebay. :smug:
Don't have either 360 or PS3. I'm not going back to console gaming unless PC gaming dies
Hmm, I'm sure there is some PC port or something. You could buy it on XBL and emulate it on the PC.
Hmm, I'm sure there is some PC port or something. You could buy it on XBL and emulate it on the PC.
No and since when did an XBLA emulator exist?
I just bought it for $30 CAD on ebay. :smug:
Lucky :D Awell. Maybe if I ever buy a console again I'll check it out. Feels like the oldies are just sitting here now collecting dust.
No and since when did an XBLA emulator exist?
A Gamecube emulator has existed for quite some time. Dolphin
A Gamecube emulator has existed for quite some time. Dolphin
But I have a GC so why would I use an emulator? And I doubt XBL releases are compatible with Dolphin
A Gamecube emulator has existed for quite some time. Dolphin
You specifically said buy it on XBL and emulate in on the PC. Do you even read what you type?
Buy it on Xbox Live in case he cares about the legality of it all. And play it on an emulator for gamecube because buying it on XBL for $10 is cheaper than $30 on gamecube.
Now, an achievement such as beating Ikaruga is a fucking incredible achievement.

Would a game bought on XBL be an iso you could put on your PC to play on an emulator?
