It occured to me that with these two screenshots one-above-the-other, it almost looks like the player is standing on a cliff edge as an A-10 does a close fly-by. So I joined them and tweaked it slightly (ie; poorly);

squad Charlie have just secured the village when the opfor decide to counter-attack by paradropping in a quick reaction force. We retaliate by moving southeast of the village through the fields seen here to stop the counter-attack from happening.
through the treeline conrex and i find a pair of t-72s at some crossroads causing major damage to bravo, who are to our west and advancing in on the other side of the road. we call in an artillery strike to take out these targets rather than fight them head on with our rocket launchers.

later on we secure a side objective; a hangar on the peak of a hill that was hindering our movement through a valley to its north. after doing so, a hind came out of nowhere and shot us down.
on the ground, we managed to regroup and secure a small town while we waited for transport to arrive. we managed to find the hind circling around the village/wreckage to hunt down survivors.

Those are the kind of situations in Men of War that made me love the game. You start the mission with a pretty big force of infantry and vehicles and all, but you end up doing half of the work with a single guy who's just fucking shit up with some stolen weapons and vehicles and ends up taking down the entire enemy force alone.
