god i haven't played that mod in ages. i put countless hours into it just doing random and hilarious shit with my friends and it never really got old. building huge fortresses out of pallets, giant stairways to the heavens, and spamming nukes from the nuke jet on karkand (before it was removed). are there still a reasonable amount of players? i might reinstall this if there are.

Well Pandemic was going to make it. Then they got closed down. Then it was handed off to another studio that didn't do anything about it. People said it was dead in the water but recently some stuff has come up saying it's being worked on.
Crytek bought Free Radical (who had the rights) so I'm really hoping they use Cry Engine 3 to its full potential and make Battlefront 3. I remember seeing a very early video of it and it looked absolutely incredible, more interesting than any multiplayer shooter today.
