Far Cry 2 is way more fun once you ignore what the game keeps telling you and realize how it actually works. All of the bullshit about unique stories for each character, factions wars, and player choice pissed me off to no end on my first playthrough because IT'S ALL LIES. Once you realize that the game is is just an open world full of enemies with a linear storyline, it becomes a lot less frustrating.
Sure, it can get tedious, but Far Cry 2 has really solid shooting mechanics and some excellent firefights. I think it would have been a lot more successful if the developers had just been honest about the game they made rather than making up a bunch of really exciting-sounding bullshit.

I really hope that it'll be World in Conflict 2. WiC has been one of my favorite games of all time, and it has been terribly underrated. A sequel would blow some life into the (unfortunately) nearly-dead franchise.

I bought Neverwinter Nights 2: Platnium on Steam during the christmas sale for 10€. Barely played it. Randomly felt like trying it again and it is lots of fun. I can't understand why I didn't play it until now.
