The same reason Bethesda games don't have working ladders. Gamebryo is shitty.
The same reason Bethesda games don't have working ladders. Gamebryo is shitty.
What engine do you think Fallout would work better on then?
What engine do you think Fallout would work better on then?
Unreal Engine 3 seems to handle largeish environments quite well, aside from some loading screens. ID Tech 5 might work, especially that they bought Id. Possibly CryEngine 3? The real reason behind it is probably because all their devs know how to work with Gamebryo, and they can easily create large game worlds. Plus they wouldn't want to pay large sums of money on an engine license for something.
F1 and 2 plasma rife. I went through the Cathedral oneshoting mutants in the eyes with that thing. ESSENTIAL!:http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1075 for both, make sure the game is already up to date! I love you. Also, OP add this to OP. It's a bit outdated on the Info. regarding HD for fo2... it's now included in the Restoration project so downloading it would be obsolete... just download the Resto Project. Also not mentioned up there is the fact that what the HD mod does is fix the color issue when you select 16 bit colors in GFX settings and allows higher resolutions.
Even though you could easily upgrade that to a 6000+ (equal to an e6600 pentium) or a 6400+ black, with an 8800gt for less than 150 quid. [editline]09:06AM[/editline] But the main question was could i run it smoothly on say medium?
They confirmed there's no diagonal running animations.
bull mother fucking shit
Played New Vegas at PAX today. Yeah, there's no diagonal animations. The ironsights make gunplay more fun, though, and wearing certain faction clothes will cause other factions to attack you.
Yeah, there's no diagonal animations. The ironsights make gunplay more fun, though, and wearing certain faction clothes will cause other factions to attack you.
That's pretty cool.
On the Pipboy map, when you hover your cursor over the icon of a town, it displays the reputation you have with them under their name ("Neutral", for example.)
Oddly enough, i don't watch raiders walking as i'm hitting them in the face with a fisto! Or anyone really for that matter. If they move, they have loot on them that i usually want. Obsidian have fixed the annoying issue were people would be marked as essential, and thus not die. Now anyone can die, and that will affect the playthrough.
I hope it's still compatible with the GECK, so I can mark the followers as essential. Maybe the quirky Moira-esque character, too.
That's pretty cool.
I always miss the whole clothes things in games, you would think that the mages guild would ban me for wearing necromancer robes in oblivion. :v:
One of the new weapons is a Grease Gun. Funny thing is, it's held like a pistol, just like how the Grease Gun mod in FO3 is.
I'm pretty sure thats how you hold them anyway.

well, maybe not. broke my automerge :argh:
One of the new weapons is a Grease Gun.
One of the new weapons is a Grease Gun.
Got any info on if there are multiple 10mm pistols or if it's been completely replaced by the 9mm pistols and the only one is the weathered 10mm.
From what I've played, there was only the 9mm pistol. The demo started off with a large selection of weapons, including the assault carbine (M16), grease gun, boxing gloves, cowboy repeater, varmint rifle, and others.
What engine do you think Fallout would work better on then?
Pretty much any other engine. Source, unreal 2/3, cry. ect. They all would do good, and not subtract from the overall game experience.
33 Rads per Second is lethal. As noted by me standing in it and noticing YOU ARE SICK WITH CRITICAL RAD POISONING YOU IDIOT THAT PLANE IS RADIOACTIVE.
I survived swimming in the river in the Pitt 500 rads a second.

Do you use chocolate teapots at home too?
Pretty much any other engine. Source, unreal 2/3, cry. ect. They all would do good, and not subtract from the overall game experience.
Fallout 3 on Source Engine? Sorry, no. You'd have to deal with constant loading screens, and making maps for Source is a bit tedious, let alone creating a rougly 14 sqm. outdoor area. Plus Hammer wouldn't even allow a map of that size, due to brush/grid limits.
I'm pretty sure thats how you hold them anyway.
jesus christ, what a suck up.
Next fallout, canon or not, on CryENGINE 3? I would be okay with that.
Who do you guys reckon should be the main villain faction in Fallout 4?
Who do you guys reckon should be the main villain faction in Fallout 4?
Humankind...like in fallout 3 (van buren). The fallouts dealt with unending war. Even though the world had been torn apart, there were always those who would create war for their own ends. Just another reason why beth couldn't get fallout 3 right. They used two factions that, by that point, had been destroyed, and their previous soldiers now living in relative peace.
Anyone know how to fix the radio stuttering? I'm on Windows 7 32-bit. Things I've tried: - Editing some things in the Fallout.ini. - Using the Creative ALchemy fix, which did fix it but made my game lock up while playing (ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes). - Disabling the Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec and installing the MAD Transform Filter. - Reinstalling I've probably tried a few other things that I can't think of at the moment. It's only during music on the pipboy radio. As far as I know the world radios work fine. I'll post my other specs if anyone wants, but I've had it work fine before with the same rig.
jesus christ, what a suck up.
Fuck off. and how the hell is what I said sucking up?
