Because Bethesda wasn't making Fallout 3 for the Fallout Fans, they where making it for their fans.
Fallout 1 & 2 felt like a fucking chore I prefer post-bethesda Fallout. Can't wait for New Vegas.
waaaah this game is too slow for me to take in I need ACTSHUN AND GUNZ Go back to MW2.
waaaah this game is too slow for me to take in I need ACTSHUN AND GUNZ Go back to MW2.
I wish I was as much as a master debater as you. waaaaaah this guy doesn't have the same tastes as me. I'm going to make fun of him because the games he likes are shit.
Haha, okay.
You're cool. Getting too passionate over video games and all. I want to be just like you when I grow up.
I hope they don't make much of the game around gambling. And I also like how there are actually cities in the game, not toy version of them, like Megaton and the Republic of Dave. They're actually using the open world engine to make a open world city, not just a hole with all the npcs crammed in.
Because Bethesda wasn't making Fallout 3 for the Fallout Fans, they where making it for their fans.
Or they were just in it for the $$$ pick and argument and stick with it
No. Not at all please. FPS/RPG or turn based RPG are the only ways I can see this series working. Also Fallout Tactics.
Just a thought.
Yeah but think for a second about how pissy fans would've been if they hadn't included the BoS or Enclave. I agree that the story was pretty horrid in comparison to F1 and F2, but sometimes you need to cut Beth some slack
The original f3 didn't contain enclave. At all. Super mutants were reasonably peaceful. Ghouls had gone to war a bit, but the main threat was from an evil scientist.
I just installed Fallout 3: GOTY edition and as soon as I get past the launcher, the video that plays prior to the main menu is just purple with only audio functioning and it just crashes after that. Was it a problem with the installation or is it a problem with my specs or something else I didn't consider? OS: Vista 32 bit CPU: Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T7250 @ 2.00 GHz 3GB RAM 256 MB Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT If my hardware is compatible, can someone tell me how well I will run it on low-medium settings?
I have a worse card and I run it fine. Not sure about the CPU though.
Just another game related question Wouldn't the engine of been more optimized
Retoast
so anyone else seen the images showing picking flowers in new vegas to make potions
Been playing through Fallout 3 for the second time, my first game save had 84 hours, but I never got any of the DLC. I think this one will reach around 120 hours at least. Was trying to play as a neutral character but my karma plummeted after raiding Tenpenny Tower. Right now I'm level 15, with only around 20 hours played, and I just reached the purification chamber. It's too fun just wondering off in a direction and finding new locations, even though I found 100+ last time I played through. The one complaint I still have, which doesn't look like it's been addressed in Vegas, is that the gun mechanics really suck. I wish they would just polish them up so it actually feels like an FPS game, rather then being VATS oriented. The way any human/ghoul/super mutant moves makes it hard to line shots up. They basically just run around and duck behind objects. If you try and flank them they just sprint away or sit there shooting you. I'm not complaining because its difficult, I just find it annoying that I have to rely on VATS most of the time. I wish I could just play it like a normal FPS :(
I play the game modded with FWE, and I rarely ever use vats anymore. I don't have many complaints for the 360 version but not being able to use mods really sucks.

I think this was before it came out on Steam.). both games are perfectly fine plain vanilla, but mods make things so much better.
Whats a good lore friendly house mod
I lost sleep because of playing tranquility Lane
I lost sleep because of playing tranquility Lane
Really? But it was a computer game within a computer game.
Tranquility Lane was neat, it would have been better if it wasn't for that annoying fucking music, if they did something creepier with it, could have been way better.
Whats a good lore friendly house mod
I like the water tower hideout, although it makes getting pure water too easy.
Read 'I have no mouth' and Tranquility lane becomes a shitton scarier :byodood:
waaaah this game is too slow for me to take in I need ACTSHUN AND GUNZ Go back to MW2.
I didn't like first two fallouts because I don't like turn based RPG's, but I loved the Fallout 3 because I love live action, guns and shooting. Does this mean that I'm stupid or something? I just like action packed games that's all.

I didn't mind fallout 1&2 but admit it was hard to get into.
I think I'm late but what the hell: Firearms Pistols * .22 pistol * 9mm pistol * 12.7mm pistol * .357 revolver * Virgin Mary pistol * Weathered 10mm pistol Rifles * Assault carbine * Battle rifle * Camouflaged rifle * Cowboy repeater * Hunting rifle * Semi-automatic rifle * Trail carbine * Varmint rifle Sniper Rifles * All-American * Anti-material rifle * Sniper rifle SMGs * 9mm SMG * 10mm SMG * Cyberpunk cowboy SMG * Silenced .22 SMG Shotguns * Caravan gun * Lever-action shotgun * Riot shotgun * Shotgun * Sturdy caravan shotgun Heavy Weapons * Light machine gun * Minigun Energy Weapons Pistols * Plasma defender * Plasma pistol Rifles * Laser rifle Shotguns * Multiplas rifle * Tri-beam laser rifle Heavy Weapons * Flamer * Gatling laser * Plasma caster * Portable laser beacon Explosives Projectile * Fat Man * Grenade launcher * Grenade machine gun * Mercenary's grenade rifle * Missile launcher Thrown * Dynamite * Frag grenade * Incendiary grenade Placed * C-4 plastic explosive * Detonator Melee * 9-Iron * Baseball bat * Broad machete * Bumper sword * Cleaver * Concrete club * Machete * Nail board * Razor * Shishkebab * Sledgehammer * Super sledge * Throwing spear * Legion Sword Unarmed * Bladed gauntlet * Boxing gloves * Brass knuckles
Yeah, those are just all the guns copied off of The Vault's list, which most of us know about already. If not, then at least by going there you get to read the actual articles on said weapons. Redundant is more fitting than late.
That's just weapons seen so far right?
There are more. Someone who played New Vegas at PAX confirmed a silenced .22 pistol, 10mm pistols and bottlecap mines. Not that the number of weapons matters as much this time around. Taking ammunition types and weapon mods into account, changing a weapon's functionality entirely is simple.
