I don't see why someone would hate Steam. It's a pretty good content distribution service and I've never had a problem with it.

People who have problems installing mods on Steam for oblivion or fallout 3 are stupid and do not deserve to have mods.

People having problems installing mods with Steam probably couldn't figure out how to install mods on the retail version.
