is this just because of how the screenshot was taken, or is this game ditching the green hue, and the green lights and health and stuff?
For the nights it looks like it. For the days, I think there's definitely some orange in there.
What's with the obsession with diagonal running animations?
It's such a simple issue that's been present in all Bethesda's gamebyro games since Morrowind. Loads of people have complained about it, and it seems damn simple to fix, but Bethesda have a) horrendously incompetent animators and b) no desire to hire new, competent ones. It's incredibly immersion breaking when using third person, which admittedly not many people use, but it's such a simple issue that that shouldn't matter.

Nope. You can see him running diagonally in one of the clips, he's still doing the diagonal moonwalk across the landscape.
Its hard to tell since they never completely show the legs. In one of the clips it looks like the diagonal glide but the other one makes it seem like there's an actual animation.
diagonal running animations are just not possible in Gamebyro, just deal with it.
Anythings possible. They made the engine so far, they can add diagonal animations. Although they probably won't.
Feel like starting a new FO3 character now, 100% Repair and Small Guns, level 21 and thousands of caps on Very Hard. Game is so easy, going to start a new one with a hard mod.

Looking the engine up on wikipedia, I'm pretty sure Bully had diagonal running animations.
I'm looking at some Bully gameplay and I don't see any.
I'm looking at some Bully gameplay and I don't see any.
Actually you're right, but what it does have is the character turning when you point him in a diagonal direction so he isn't sliding across the landscape like it's a fucking ice rink.
Yep , I saw those animations! I'm incredibly happy
I love fallout. Should I wait for the New Vegas GOTY edition? I know it will come eventually.
Heh, this guy did a good job at recreating the preorder armor exclusives.
Ill play with the orange tint ,itll remind me of the computer I used at work damn Canadian tire needs to upgrade.

Oh yeah, saw those once. What's the deal with them anyways? What kind of OS do they run?
What did you expect? The unmodded game looks like a dog's dinner anyway, such is the nature of the gamebyro engine. The graphics stopped being good looking years ago, if you're buying New Vegas, you're buying it for the writing and story, otherwise it's literally just a reskinned FO3 with more orange.
All I've seen you do in this thread is bitch about graphics. The majority of people don't really give a shit about having the best graphics, its more about the gameplay. You're exactly like the people who complained that fallout 3 was oblivion with guns, quite frankly it isn't. The only thing that is similar is the engine itself.
The only thing that is similar is the engine itself.
While I admit I may have bitched about the graphics a little too much, that is utter bullshit.
I thought you got perma'd.
He did

haters gonna hate
Goddamn. Started another game on Very Hard, except this time with a couple of mods like Better AI (They actually take cover), and little things like the pistol Amata gives you is a .32, and there not being 200 rounds in the Over Seer's office.
Went and raided the Super market, huge intense battle of like 5 raiders, 2 enclave eye bots and a bunch of wastelanders outside. Took my 50 .32 rounds to kill this guy crouching behind a car ;(

So did anyone ever find a fix for the random crashes in FO3?
Nope, not even bethesda could fix that.
That really sucks. It's the main reason I quit. I hope it's not in New Vegas, but I get the feeling it will be.
So did anyone ever find a fix for the random crashes in FO3?
It's not a bug, it's a feature!
It's not a bug, it's a feature!
Correct, that is the same thing for VATS causing me to shoot perfectly(95%) at the enemy 3 times, then shoot 5 times rapid fire and they all miss, while the enemy is out in the open, and the whole multi-skinned NPCs, and every other "bug" they had.
I was just reading a Hands-on review and it said "New Vegas has all the stuff to become GOTY again, we hope Obsidian is able too fix the few bugs the Hand-on had.". It didn't mention any bad thing about NV too :buddy:
It also said the shooting has greatly improved over Fallout 3 and the ironsights are working pretty well.
Now I'm even more exited :science:
Also NV is gonna have some sick quests, spoiler for one sidequest (incase you want to find out yourself):
[sp]In a sidequest you have to help ghouls to get into the basement of a rocket factory, which is held by a group of Nightkins that listen to orders from a Brahim skull. And upon succes the ghouls will take of in a spaceship to the great beyond. Awesome. [/sp]

Funny, over the top quests in my fallout? Awesome!
I must be the only one who never crashes while playing Fallout 3.
I must be the only one who never crashes while playing Fallout 3.
I only ever crash if I use certain mods.

I guarantee that we won't get bombarded in DLC this time; so I say get it now. I predict a couple good, meaty expansions. Or two good ones and an Operation Anchorage. I'm pulling all of this out of my ass, though.
[editline]01:03AM[/editline]
I wish I could play as a Brahmin. I would strut the New Vegas strip with my leather jacket, shades, slick hair, blue jeans, rattle snake boot, and cool face.

What's wrong with OP Anchor?
