You can remake your Fallout 3 character, but you can't import it from Fallout 3. I blame Mass Effect 2 for this.
I've never bought an Elder Scrolls game/Fallout 3 on Steam before, but I plan to with New Vegas. Will mods still work okay though?
NV uses Steam no matter where you get it for PC (bleh), so Obsidian will probably find a way to make mods easier to use with Steam.
snip. just a dumb double post.
You can remake your Fallout 3 character, but you can't import it from Fallout 3. Well, if you could import your character there would be so many different plot holes, plus I think Obsidian wants to stay as far away from FO3's storyline as possible since it's horrible.
I just preordered New Vegas at Gamestop for 5 dollars!
This needs evidence.
This needs evidence.
The preorder alone is what cost $5 I'm sure, not game and all if thats what you're thinking.
X-Play did a nice walkthrough of a side quest in New Vegas, finally shows off some voice acting, and it is good. obviously spoilers ahead. http://g4tv.com/videos/49184/Fallout-New-Vegas---Beyond-the-Beef-Quest-Exclusive/

Although, with careful thinking this could be avoided. Get rid of conflicting items. The character doesn't have to be THE CHARACTER HIMSELF from the Capital Wastes, just a clone of your character pretty much. Get what I'm saying?
Here are the rest of the videos from the X-Play Fallout New Vegas Special Spoilers I guess. http://g4tv.com/videos/49209/Fallout-New-Vegas-Special---The-Story-Of/ http://g4tv.com/videos/49213/Fallout-New-Vegas-Special---New-Features/ http://g4tv.com/videos/49214/Fallout-New-Vegas-Special---Sin-City-Destroyed/ http://g4tv.com/videos/49212/Fallout-New-Vegas-Special---The-Art-of-the-Apocalypse/ http://g4tv.com/videos/49211/Fallout-New-Vegas-Special---The-Weapons-of-Destruction/ http://g4tv.com/videos/49210/Fallout-New-Vegas-Special---The-Characters-Of/
yeah, it'd be weird for D2D to let its games interact with a direct competitor...
New Vegas requires Steam. I just want to be 100 percent sure that when I buy it off of D2D at a lower price that it will be linked to my Steam account.

Path finding glitch, that kind of shit has been happening since Oblivion.
Path finding glitch, that kind of shit has been happening since Oblivion.
Its not a glitch, its a feature. You forgot that most of the "bugs" and "glitches" are features, like the fail VATS bug, and the path finding glitch.
like flying Deathclaw corpses?
Anyone know when Gamestop stops taking pre-orders for Collector's Editions? I was going to go in tomorrow.
I'm still in it
Hey you made the FP member mod, make a sequel for New Vegas :buddy:
Hey you made the FP member mod, make a sequel for New Vegas :buddy:
Did that ever get finished? I remember I was working on the houses and I ended up losing everything I had and I just lost interest in modding and Fallout 3 for a while.
Bought it. Now it is taunting me in my Steam games list. :saddowns:
Hey you made the FP member mod, make a sequel for New Vegas :buddy:
Whats that?
You raise an excellent point! Although, with careful thinking this could be avoided. Get rid of conflicting items. Enough of the canon bullshit, jesus christ. also I'm pretty sure Funcoot just means recreate your character from Fallout 3, which is what I do for every RPG I play anyway.
Think the first thing I'll do when I start the game is head into one of the casinos and win so much they boot my ass out.
I'll do that but shoot the fuckers who try. Also starting the group up again, need a picture for the group. [editline]07:48PM[/editline]
Hey you made the FP member mod, make a sequel for New Vegas :buddy:
I'm planning a casino version. And no it didn't finish cos of 2 things aka the custom forum being moved and drop of interest (aka noone could find the thread. [editline]07:52PM[/editline] Oh it's a shitty mod I half made that I import your overpowered characters to a place.
Think the first thing I'll do when I start the game is head into one of the casinos and win so much they boot my ass out.
No you wont, you either need to complete some missions or have 2000 caps to get into the New Vegas strip.
2000 caps isn't that much
2000 caps isn't that much
You're right, just like the black widow perk on Mr Burke and you get 1000 caps with your first mission outside of the vault. I can see something like this happening in New Vegas.
They may be harder to get now though since you have the other 2 currencies too.
I really hope New Vegas isn't as easy as Fallout 3, especially in the beginning, I wan't a mod that makes it so you cant loot armor from dead bodies, like in the first 2 games, that would provide a nice challenge.
