Gamestop stopped pre ordering already. They were my first choice. Amazon is at 80$ so that's kinda expensive when I see sold out sites at 70$.
They did? I preordered New Vegas two days ago at Gamestop.
They did? I preordered New Vegas two days ago at Gamestop.
Yea I was surprised too. I saw it up last night and I'm not getting my money till tomorrow. CDUniverse has a good priced one for sale but I dunno how legit they are. Seems kinda odd. Maybe Kmart still has some online copies?
Hardcore Fallout fans are probably the most annoying people on the planet
I agree with you entirely. 7 days till New Vegas release.
9 days 'til if you're a European. There's potential to get it a day early if you preordered, however. And thanks to it being on steam, if you have a retail copy before the EU date, you can redeem it because it's past the American date!
I'm gonna hold off on New Vegas for now, getting Fallout 3 GOTY instead for Christmas. I know. 'HOW CAEN U!?1!?111?'. Well, currently my Fallout 3 copy is junked, I don't want to spend an extra $50 from the DLC besides the game itself, my player house can be completed in the meantime, and I still have my heavily modded Oblivion to finish.
I am $110 short.
Just bought Fallout 2 While waiting for my pre order next week so worth it
I still have problems getting into Fallout 2, its 4th Wall Breaking humor and lulzy shit really turns me off, [sp]I mean talking Deathclaws? jesus christ[/sp], but I guess I will finish it one day. at least I still got Fallout 1.
Wait, NV is out in a week? But my computer won't be fixed for another month :saddowns:
Wait, NV is out in a week? But my computer won't be fixed for another month :saddowns:
Stay out of spoiler stuff and I think you will be fine.
I don't give a shit about the spoilers, really. It's just annoying that I can't play anything.
Anyone know when preloading starts on steam? I'm going for a long train journey on the day its released so i'd like to play it on my laptop on the train
gameplay. things run up to you and attack until you kill them (although you can now use VATS to shoot things, too!) with no real AI to speak of. the "daily schedule AI" thing is still in effect. when you talk to an NPC, the camera zooms in on their face and you have conversations with them like in Oblivion (except there are slightly more varied choices and persuasion is not available). the buying-shit system is largely the same as Oblivion. the quest system is pretty much the same as Oblivion. damage and healing, same as Oblivion. the only thing different gameplay-wise is the fact that you can use guns as well as the few melee weapons in the game. hence, Oblivion with Guns.
Most of these things can be found in other rpgs... take fable for example, you have conversation choices, shops are similar, there is damage and healing as in oblivion. It isn't oblivion with guns, ITS FUCKING FALLOUT 3. Jesus christ all you're doing is finding something to bitch about simply because thats all you do. You're that really douchey guy in class who just complains about everything. When new vegas comes out you'll just bitch about how its oblivion with guns in vegas... [editline]13th October 2010[/editline]
Well it isn't going to stop you making a character with the same physical and statistical attributes as your Fallout 3 character started with. Sure, why not. But Fallout 3 came after Oblivion and reused a stupid number of gameplay elements, not to mention the engine. Under the hood, it had more in common with the Elder Scrolls than Fallout.
And this is a problem because? come to think of it leveling was vastly different (much better in FO3)

Alpha Protocol?

Some douches will always compare every FPS to Crysis, Mafia with GTA and FO3 with Obilivion. It makes it so much easier to have a silly argument and troll a game you probably don't like. All I can say is, that FO3 deserves to be continued as it is not some cheap ripoff. I simply love this game.
I don't think the person asking for an import your character thing was asking for it to affect the story. Some people take ages making their characters look like themselves. [editline]13th October 2010[/editline] Anywho, reason why I came - thinking about getting the CE game guide to go with my CE game. Good idea? :D
Anywho, reason why I came - thinking about getting the CE game guide to go with my CE game. Good idea? :D
Silly idea, this page always provided all help for me, plus it's free: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Cell_ID http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Console http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_weapons http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_armor_and_clothing To name just a few. Screw guides, they are ripoffs.
Guides are good for bathroom and coffee table reads, though.
Meh I wouldn't pay that much though.
Guides are good for bathroom and coffee table reads, though.
Meh I'll just take a laptop with the wikia to the toilet :smug:
Well I'll be going with some little info we have to create plans for the Facepunch Casino. I'm guessing it'd have to be in the Strip, unless you wanna make it like Tenpenny tower. We also need to elect the Casino owner. [editline]14th October 2010[/editline] I'll have the grenade machine-gun and NCR trenchcoat gas mask getup kthx
Whoever makes the next big Megathread = casino owner? :V Also, I mean the New Vegas game guide.
Are FOOK2 and FWE compatible at all? There's no interoperability patches up to date.
I've played fallout 3 alot recently and today I installed the prostitution mod (I know) and some type3 clothes and now it takes forever to load anything. Example: Time to start up the game BEFORE: 10 seconds Time to start up the game NOW: up to 2 minutes Time to load a savegame BEFORE: Around 15-20 seconds Time to load a savegame NOW: Up to 3 minutes. And most annoying; My primary savegame is currently in underworld and In Carol's hotel/whatever and trying to exit that area takes 2 minutes of loading screens. I can post all my mods if there's any of them that are known for slowing down the game. I do not have any high res textures besides type3 HD body.
Are FOOK2 and FWE compatible at all? There's no interoperability patches up to date.
"13. I'm having (insert problem) when I use FWE and FOOK2 together! A: FWE and FOOK2 are not compatible, period. We cannot provide any support if you have FOOK2 installed. " However I've used both at the same time for a long time and It works most of the times.
Alpha Protocol?
Was awesome if you looked past a few dodgy mechanics. It also has that feel of a test bed. So more likely the game suffered because they had fallout to play with, rather than a lack of talent.
Reinstalling Fallout 3 with looooooooooads of mods. Gon' be fun. Uh-uh.
I'm not gonna ruin the experience for myself this time, so when the game comes out I'm staying away from this thread and the Vault
People sicken me. Who would want to play this game with mods that make everyone completely nude and add furry races?
Furries?
