Nothing. I've noticed some people in the Steam forums are having the same trouble as I do. Sad. The only reason I really bought New Vegas was for the preload.
Ahem.
Alright, so I played Fallout 3 (didn't finish it yet) and liked it for the most part, but had a few complaints. I've read over some changes in New Vegas, but could anyone tell me if some of these things are improved:
Is VATS still going to be still slightly overpowered? Perhaps attacking will take up a lot more action points and it will take longer to restore them?
Is crafting going to be more interesting? Just seemed dull in FO3.
Is the landscape going to be more interesting (I could have probably looked at pics for this one, but I'm sure that you guys have seen many of them)? Also seemed a bit dull in FO3.
So, New Vegas has already been leaked?

freezing time and auto-aimed shooting will always be overpowered.

There's quite a few recipes for food, drinks, poison and ammunition (among other things), spread across various skills and the interface suits crafting a lot better. You can specify how much of a certain item you want to make.

That's why I'll go for hardcore mode and damage perks. VATS is all right, however I think it should have a stricter cooldown, with grim reaper's sprint I can take out groups of 10 enemies in FO3, feels overpowered.
The preload finished within an hour
That is the fastest time I have ever downloaded anything on steam. I bet I look in the files now and half are missing.

They said people liked that so much in Oblivion and that's why they've added it or at least added more recipes than in FO3.

Hey, no reason to go mad.
I already tried your methods several times. I'll try a NA location now.
Wow they're all there (apparantly)
If you have any questions, this is what I see:

In any case, trying to force it to download by entering the link in Internet Explorer doesn't work. It displays that it's going to install, yet does jack shit.
I see you didn't think to resize the window... also what country.
Yeah, sorry about that. Europe, Latvia. Download server in Sweden.

Sorry buddy, try France they had a good bandwidth and low occupancy for me in past.
Hey, I don't even have the game yet, you're still better off with no working preload than I am.
:sigh:
So guys before I start Fallout 2 for the 5 th time is there a way to get steam overlay working with it? I got the GOG version and not the steam one.
Anyone know?
I bought Fallout 3 for the xbox, was thinking of buying New Vegas for PC. Specs?
Well, I hate myself. I can't play FO3 without using the console for the unlock or kill commands.
Mind you I am trying to play on Very Hard with 'extra hardness' mods while lagging from the amount of custom textures I have, so I guess it's my own fault. :v:
Hey, I do the same for Morrowind when exploring mods or get a random encounter over my level inside a town.

Also why does nobody mention the fact that the wasteland is around 30% bigger and it has a lot more locations in those lists of new things.
Non lethal like the Mesmotron 65% of the time

Are those like, the minimum? Or recommended?
both
I wish someone would magically create a HD texture pack before the game comes out.

Because a ton of locations in fallout 3 were barely anything, IE the power stations.
You all going to buy New Vegas ?
I'm still choosing between Blackops and New Vegas.
I liked Fallout 3 allot, do you guys think I will like New Vegas too ?

Dear god it shouldn't even be a choice between the 2. Yes. New Vegas seems to be FO3 improved in every aspect.

Even the guys who didn't like Fallout 3 are hopeful for this game. If you liked Fallout 3, it'll be a blast I bet.
I just hope NV doesn't have the same microstutter Fallout 3 had. FO3 wasn't even playable for me until I figured out how to fix it.
If someone ports that batsuit mod, I'll definately try a character-correct Batman man playthrough.
