Would't there be Enclave at the Boulder in Denver?

I hope they make a better start then with Fallout 3. Sure birthdayparty's and growing up is fun to watch, but it was the least awesome part of Fallout 3.
And
Tunnelsnakes rule!
you get shot in the head and left for dead in the beginning
much more exciting
I still don't understand that your still alive during the game(OOPS SPOILERS)

It seems to be much quicker than Fallout 3's opening. You get shot in the head, taken to a town, chargen, and then you can go do stuff.
Good, never really enjoyed the Enclave.
Also, I wonder if New Vegas will bring back the individual endings for each town like in Fallout 2.
Yes, Ending slides have been confirmed. Also, about the Enclave getting killed by the Chosen One, it's because they were retarded. The Enclave in FO2 were like the army of the terrible Bond Villian that was Dick Dickson. "You just walked in the back door of our base. You must be a new recruit! Here is your complimentary Power Armor and Plasma Rifle. Enjoy your stay, and if you need any super-secret plans just ask around, you'll find them eventually.

Good; The opening of Fallout 3 was kind of fun the first time around, but increasingly more boring the more times you play through. Just want to get right to the action.

People have survived being shot in the head, its not that unrealistic.
Yeah, but Vault City I could see eventually joining the NCR. Also, is the Enclave basically gone now? They got really fucked up when the oil rig exploded in Fallout 2, and I imagine their defeat in the Capital Wasteland didn't help either.
Well they were supposed to be gone for good with their world domination plans after Fallout 2, but Bethesda revived them since they couldn't figure out any cool new enemy (although if super muties or Enclave hadn't been in Fallout 3, there still would have been whining).
The Enclave probably still has outposts like Navarro, but they're not a united front anymore, and they have no president. They'll eventually blend in with some major factions.
[editline]17th October 2010[/editline]
The Enclave had an oil rig base, a large army, and better technology than almost everyone else, but still managed to get defeated by some kid from a small village with little to no technology at all
Well the kid was armored with PLOT.
I doubt just having technology could save them if NCR manages to take everything else.
I doubt NCR would want to take the place by force, since they have a well trained defense force and reeaaaally big guns surrounding the area. And they can always retreat back to their Vault, which NCR would never be able to get.
Why does NA get it before EU even though I buy it from steam... I WANT TO PLAY THIS NOW! (Well the 19th but still.)

maybe because they have to translate some text for the non-english speaking countries in eu?
maybe because they have to translate some text for the non-english speaking countries in eu?
Funny or dumb? Hmm..
It's all because stupid serious business shit.
Good; The opening of Fallout 3 was kind of fun the first time around, but increasingly more boring the more times you play through
I have to say, I wasn't entirely thrilled with the whole "being born" part.
I was like "What is this, I don't even... oh."
my guess: American-based company, so it ships out to all the stores in America faster, ensuring the earlier release date. the other countries get later release dates because it takes longer to ship them out in said countries... because they're different countries...
not sure if it really makes sense, but it makes sense to me...
Wrong,
It's because "new media day" in USA is Tuesday , and in Europe it's Friday.
So they wait so that usa retail shops and europe ones dont get no business from everyone getting it somewhere else before it's in the US shops. Europe they just dont care.
maybe because they have to translate some text for the non-english speaking countries in eu?
Wrong again, it's because then everyone would get it on steam and the shops would whine like little bitches.
There is already Xbox version somewhere on internets. But why no PC version? If there is, PM me (Or get banned for warez, if you'll post it here).

because the pc version is digital distribution not a hard copy.
Cant... Wait.. Much longer..

To clarify, all copies of Fallout New Vegas on the PC will use Steam to verify and install. No-one with a pre-load of Fallout New Vegas/disc version can decrypt the game files and crack it till after the release date, 19th of October for US and 22nd for October.
:smith: still no preload
And this, steam haters, is why devs use steam.
From a drm point of view, it is pure genius.
Oh, and my preload just finished :)

fuck the steam. I am not buying this piece of shit no one wants to fuck with!

As if you would have anyway?
As if you would have anyway pirate, get lost.
I was thinking of collector's edition, but no way if it uses steam.
Erm, why not? If you lose the collector's edition, you've got steam.
How can I lose a game?
I've never lost a game, it is always at home.
I've never lost a game, it is always at home.
You only have to remember a password and an user name and you have access to the games for the rest of your life VS. You have a disc copy of the game which can get lost in the years to come.
Stop flaming about steam, ok?(Don't tell me that i've started it)
You are on the wrong forums if you hate steam my friend.
