Wish you could visit DC again see whats been up after 4 years. Doubt it would happen though
Isn't it pretty obvious what happens for the "canon" ending? The brotherhood there give out free water and everybody lives happily ever after forever.

Vocalisations.

Well everything can't be all fine and dandy for 4 years? I mean there is still the super mutants running around DC and there is still that conflict with the BoS and the Outcast.

don't think it would be as exciting as going to a place not seen since the first game
The PC speaks? o.O
I mean his pain voice, the way he grunts when he gets shot like in Fallout 3.
You can hear it in this, it's just a bunch of shooting so no real spoilers.

It just sounds a little high pitched to me. Fallout 3 was like 'HRUGGHH' and this is like 'ow'
The music is good though.

Eh you got me there.
I'm going to bet at least 100-120 hours. Depends on if you're willing to suck up every little piece of content and go through multiple playthroughs. Then you have mods.
I'm going to guess 30 hours, actually, and because there was nothing to do after you beat all the quests in Fallout 3, the only replayability to restart the game on Hardcore, I guess.
No they said the ending was definite again
God damn it.
Ah well, with FO3 the mod was editing one value in one script if I remember correctly. It was as simple as Endgame = 1 or something.
With 3 a lot of the gameplay time was exploring the tons of locations and the hidden away 'dungeons' like the Dunwich Building.
Bah, I want to actually join a faction. I'm not super crazy about being a random asshole that helps out; at least not for all of my characters. Then again this game has a story (good one I bet) with a real ending so hurm. :downs: I need this game right meow!
By the way, it pissed me off when I couldn't get Sergeant RL-3 or Fox(sp) to be the hero at the end of FO3's story. It would have been an everybody wins ordeal.
I mean for the main quest, and a few side quest you may do because they are on your way.
Main quest in fallout 3 could be done in under 45 mins.
Better than fallout 1 though...looking at 10 mins to do the main line quest for that.

Fallout 3 had like, 30 quests. This one has (apparently) at least 100.
i cant wait for this mod to get remade in new vegas!

30 hours? It depends on how much you like the game really. It would take way more than 30 hours to do the main quest and all of the side ones.
My new favorite part with new armor is that the BoS is evil.
Ive always wanted to have a reason to shoot them in the face.
tbh i lump them in more of a gray area

I couldn't agree more. But what do you mean "new armor"? Do you mean the BoS's new armor, or did you misstype and mean "New Vegas"?
I trust you meant the new armor.
Holy shit, this is the smartgun from the Alien movie right?

Either give me an official source or I call bullshit.

I don't hink his figures are entirely correct.
However, yes it is true that NV will feature a lot more new quests, achievements, and 40% more dialogue.
I hope they add more use to the junk items. Some were used with crafting, but unless you had the time to deal with the 'amazing' physics in order to decorate your home, most things were useless, and only sold for 1 Bottle Cap.
When I first started FO3, I made a business selling cartons of cigarettes to Caravanner's
i played through fo3 picking up every item i could find and throwing it all in the floor of the megaton house

He's being modest. I read 180. FO3 40. No source because I read it on a forum. Probably bull.
So there's one definite ending? Please show us YOUR source. It seemed like there were a lot of ways for the plot to go down.
I ordered my copy today for a sweet price of €45.- including all pre-order packs, feels good.

I didn't say there was ONE definite ending, all they said was the ending IS definite. i.e. you can't play after it

Hey, I hope they won't fuck it up like in FO3, when before the final mission large parts of the map became inaccessible due to shields. I mean most of the fans will buy the DLC anyway, no need to force us.
I didn't say there was ONE definite ending, all they said was the ending IS definite. i.e. you can't play after it
Yeah, but didn't they say that the game would remind you to autosave before the ending or something like that? I remember seeing something similar in the Game Informer previews for NV.

If there's 180 quests (there won't be) most of them would be either very short or boring.
If there's 180 quests (there won't be) most of them would be either very short or boring.
Apparently there's a "crazy" amount of quests compared to FO3. Also, there's going to be a definitive ending but it can split into a lot of ways. I read the interview.
It will go down in a slide but you cannot keep playing since there's a lot of minor and major changes to the wasteland that they just cannot portray. And you get warned when it's coming so you can save.
Also, predicting first DLC=Vault City. Monorail or Vertibird. It's in West Vegas. ALA Pitt anyone?
Apparently, the DLC is gonna be made by Bethesda, and they seriously expect one will be Area 51 because A) they didn't do it and B) Bethesda have no reservations about "ALIENZ!!!111!!one!!"
