I hate how they're doing it so when you beat it you can't continue. I hope to god that not a single part of the game forces you to choose a side. Sure I wasn't evil in Fallout 3, but working with the Brotherhood felt so forced, what if I didn't want to? You couldn't beat the game.
I bought FO3 with the Broken Steel DLC, so I've never had to load a save before I beat the game if I wanted to do some side quests or explore. I don't like the sound of it at all. Losing Exp and ammo/weapons/items. I think when they made FO3 it was more of a mistake that the game ended like that, and the DLC was their way of fixing it. Now they know they can make a quick buck off a DLC so they end the game like that again. I would've bought any and all DLC for the game whether or not it was needed to continue after the end.
It'll be modded on release day. Also, you make a lot of major choices during the game. The choices just wouldn't be able to be respected properly in game. That's a good sign for me. If my choices are so important and varied that they cannot be portrayed ingame.
Also you get a warning when game is nearing the end. You can save and finish sidequests or whatever.
Only one review so far. I could be late.

He is a troll. All he complains about is how it looks like FO3 and that the controls are bad :downs:
Note: Attack of the fanboy in the link,
Is the geck going to be included with release?
Is the geck going to be included with release?
Yeah it will.
I know what you mean, you really only had your father who gave you some feeling of being part of a family. Amata was a joke, yeah she helped you, but after all, she blamed you for everything. A real companion in Fallout 3 would be nice, not just some mod without a voice actor.
Exactly. Then she either just kicks you out of the Vault or leaves the Vault forever, and you never see her again. How about instead, maybe you could keep visiting the Vault and help them out. Maybe do escort missions with Amata to gather supplies and explain what you've learned about the Wasteland and it's citizens. Then on the flip side, if you tamper with the Vault, maybe you could run into her outside the wasteland and she continues to hate you. Maybe while you're traveling the wasteland, you run into Amata's corpse in the Wasteland...

He seems to turn down the game based on the engine alone. I can live with the graphics because that will be modded on PC and they look decent to me.
Story wise he went in from FO3 and enjoyed it. I went in from FO3 and hated it. Hoping I get an opposite reaction.

She also tells them where vault 101 is.
Well during a dev diary, the female courier was speaking with a companion. She was asking him more about his history and it turned into a bit of a romantic conversation. Hoping you can build a small love story with some of the companions. Just to have a bond with someone in the game.

Would be great, in my second playthrough I took revenge and flushed their waterchip, they have a bigger chance of surviving in Megaton than inside their small dystopia being ruled by some mad overseer and having constant riots.

Thanks, but he said it feels like Oblivion with guns. Made me want to tear him a new virtual asshole.

Wait, when did this happen? I'd assume this happens in The Enclave HQ.
When I first read previews and stuff during the summer, it pissed me off how far away the release date was so I stopped looking at any info about it, now I'm getting excited about it to the point that it's absurd:
I work at a supermarket, and the brand name on my cash register says NCR. And today I had to scan a lot of Caesar's brand salad dressing
little stuff like that irks me.

It'll just be released as DLC
Good thing it'll be modded within 48 hours

Exactly. I don't expect anything graphic, but romance would be a welcome addition. Even if it was just contained to conversations.

Random Wasteland encounter. You can save her but she just runs off or something. Also in regards to Oblivion with guns. That's where I lost my respect too.

Haha me too. We had an engineer in the other week with a tshirt on branded with NCR.

That review is garbage.
Exactly. I don't expect anything graphic, but romance would be a welcome addition. Even if it was just contained to conversations.
Agreed. I'd tolerate a sexual encounter but I don't mean romance in that form. Something where you learn of their history, you create your own, maybe they can advise you during important plot parts or something.
Mass Effect did it right and Obsidian had some good non-sexual romances back in Knights Of The Old Republic. You felt so alone in FO3. It was a nice atmospheric feel but then you just began to crave someone besides a mindless walking gun next to you.
Companions were more mercenaries then an actual "companion". Amata would have been perfect for it in FO3 and then she basically tells you to fuck off.
I really hope that DarnifiedUI works with/supports New Vegas. I can't stand the default UI after using Darn for so long.
And FOSE. That'd be useful.

They mentioned awhile back that you can have 1 human companion, 1 non-human (Robot/Rex), and if you're in Freeside you can hire a bodyguard. Likewise, if you're NCR you can call for a trooper or ranger assist.
Also I think it's possible he reviewed a pirated copy, all the reviewers were on an embargo and that site looks really homemade.
[editline]17th October 2010[/editline]
He also called Fallout 3 "the first game" sooooo...
He's a really bad reviewer.
He gave MoH a 'Liked' rating. He really is a bad reviewer.
" But for the gamers that are looking for a more authentic and believable military experience, there hasn't been a game even close to this since Operation Flashpoint. For those gamers Medal of Honor is a must play."
He did NOT just compare MoH to OP Flashpoint.
