I hope there is a better main story than FO3.

Shit! Deathclaws! SHIT SHIT SHIT! Enclave! HOLY FUCKING SHIT LINCOLN'S REPEATER! HOLY SHIT IM MURDERING EVERYONE! HEY YOU! SLAVER SCUM! YOU ARE DEAD!

.
Fuck no, im not gonna sell my awesome repeater...What was i doing before this?"
That's what I liked about Fallout 3, you could virtually forget the main story
Not that hard to forget it.
Not that hard to forget it.
It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either.

I'm just saying it wasn't very memorable.
FOOK2 has a bunch of weapons that don't fit in the fallout universe, does FOOK1 have the same problem?
Definitely yes, it's the same as Fook2 except the models are of lower quality.

Oh yeah what I really hate about FO3 and TES:Oblivion is the way characters interact with the world & with combat and everything, they aren't part of it (you know what I mean), they move around terribly... So in general I think FO3 just was kind of a hasty job instead of something that went through lots of development. It feels like a big oblivion mod...
Yeah, bethesda try to make a living breathing world, but it's let down by their crappy animations and polish, detracting from the immersion factor a tad. Mods can help to remedy this, but there's only so much they can do.

Holy fuck, increased spawns is awesome with fighting groups of enemies, there's some pretty cool battles that go on occasionally. Too bad their combat AI is as dumb as a rock.
One of the major complaints I've had about Bethesda games about such a minor problem is that hips do not rotate according to the direction of travel, it's such a basic thing even in CS 1.6, if I am running diagonally, rotate the hips so the legs run diagonally jeez
Is it ever explained why the only in-game music is from the 50's? I mean, it was 2077 when the war started. You'd think they'd have newer music.

stylistic decision. no lore explanation, no.

Or impressive computer, Vehicles, gadgets, clothing and armour...the list goes on.
The game style is 50's future

Maybe it's because it's a game and due to it being a fictional video game a few things are different from the real world in order to make it interesting.
They didn't invent transistors anyway.
The thing is when you learn to appreciate FO1 & 2, FO3 is just pure crap IMO. The fact that there is so much discussion between the FO3'ers and the FO1&2'ers is just proof that FO3 is completely different and that it isn't something that is in the line of the first two games. I don't care if FO3 raised the series to a whole new level of popularity. It actually didn't, it was just a game that a certain group of FPS gamers really enjoyed and when they checked out the first two games they went "OMG SLOW BORING OMG THIS SHIT SUCKS BETHESDA RAELLY DID THE RIGHT THING"
Reasons for it are the fact that Bethesda was so lazy to use the oblivion engine and they didn't have any of the original developers. FO3 and FO1&2 are just so different that they can't be compared, it will be a perpetual flame war...
To me none of the elements in FO3 made me go "woah", nothing seemed really finished or I just have the feeling that the developers didn't have a clear image of what they actually wanted to make. A FPS? No, an RPG, kinda but they didn't do a great job.
How good is this mod?

If it doesn't work with RH Ironsights I won't use it.

Fallout 3 is a different game to the previous games, and hey, it might not be a very good fallout game, but it stands up pretty well by itself. And at least it's better than Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

Am I the only person that liked that fallout 3 didn't have ironsights?

Well yeah then they should've called it Fallout: something something, but not Fallout 3 as in successor of Fallout 1 & 2. And indeed, pretty well, that's it.

But I'll stop bitching now.

That's why the game is great, we can both mod it to be our way!
That's why the game is great, we can both mod it to be our way!
True
I think I'm going to install mart's mutant mod, weapon mods and maybe EVE, how does that sound?
EVE is great, MMM is great (ghoul raise + increased increased spawns = fun), and weapon mods are good as long as you choose quality.
[editline]06:23PM[/editline]
Get DCInteriors too, greatest mod to date.
I think Fallout 3 is my most played Xbox Game, with Fallout 1&2 paling in comparison on my PC. They are just too slow paced for my liking.
Which is why Fallout 3 is popular among the people who need constant explosions and dopamine injected into their spine to enjoy a video game.

Can't we just all get along?

Meh, they make the weapons feel less floaty, so I like them. Each to his own though.

Okay we get it you hate fallout 3 can we just get along?

I almost nerdraged when you brought that up... could we not discuss it again? i think we proved that we can't handle this discussion. and none of you numbskulls can seem to fathom the possibility of liking all of them....
Well you can't deny that Fallout 3 has some issues concerning animation...
But I said that I'd stop bitching about this :P
I agree that FO1 and 2 are king compared to FO3, but FO3 in its own way is also amazing, they are in 2 different Genre's for games, although the same brand, kinda, different context, so you can't really compare them fairly IMO.
Dammit I installed mart's mutant mod but now my game crashes on startup.
