Fallout: New Vegas to use Steam: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1096751-fallout-new-vegas-fan-interview/
Will the PC retail game be able to be activated via Steam? From @litrock via Twitter Jason Bergman, Senior Producer at Bethesda Softworks: Yes. Fallout: New Vegas will fully utilize the Steamworks SDK. This means that retail PC copies will activate via Steam. We are also using Steam for achievements and other features (but not multiplayer, of course. FNV remains a single player only game).
[editline]07:24PM[/editline] A shocking revelation. At least it's not GFWL.
Oh cool Also can someone help me fix my problem with MMM?
Also here's the interview that revealed that new vegas would use steam, it has a lot of other interesting information. http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1096751-fallout-new-vegas-fan-interview/
I'm trying to play FO2, but all the prerendered cinematics are filled to the brim with multicoloured artifacts. Not the biggest problem, the game still works fine, but I'd like to fix this. I have the Unofficial Patch and Res Patcher from NMA.
Which is why Fallout 3 is popular among the people who need constant explosions and dopamine injected into their spine to enjoy a video game.
Get FWE. Sure, it's more shooter-like, but it's much more challenging than the super duper easy vanilla FO3. I actually find it more close to the old games with FWE.

Are there any good games that play like Fallout 1 and 2? I don't care about graphics; I still play Dungeon Hack from 1993 once in a while. I'm considering playing through Fallout 1 and 2, because I never really did finish either game.
I'm trying to find the unique wandering merchant item. Does anyone know where it is, if there is one at all?
Aw, steamworks. I prefer to have non-valve games non-steam.
I'd prefer Steam than Games for Wussies Live. I MEAN UGH.

Make sure MSN and everything is turned off. Run in compatibility mode (with visual themes and desktop composition disabled)
Are there any good games that play like Fallout 1 and 2? What about BG 1? or IWD 1 and 2?
I have a problem in the Cathedral Vault, level 3: how do I open the door to the final level? [editline]05:57PM[/editline] Also is the game over if I finish that quest?
Is the quest the one where you need to stop the supermutant?
Yeah this blob/guy/mutant guy under the cathedral http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Destroy_the_Mutant_leader But here it states that it's on the 3rd floor, but it isn't  [editline]07:05PM[/editline] Hmm I think I'm going to leave this one for a while because it seems that it really does end the game.
You are referring to The Master.

vats of FEV? I'm sorry what are these abbreviations? lol
vats of FEV? I'm sorry what are these abbreviations? lol
Vats. As in, a big pot. FEV is a virus that turns people into super mutants.
I’m assuming that you are reusing some of the animations from Fallout 3. Have you done anything to improve these or are they going to stay the same way that they did in Fallout 3? From Zearox via Bethesda Blog Josh Sawyer: We started our animation work by determining what new animations we needed, what existing animations we thought needed revision, and what else we could revise. We have already changed some of the core combat animations (for example, all first-person firearm aim animations have been revised) as well as creature animations (our "West Coast" Super Mutants have new idles, walk, and run cycles)
I hope they're better than the fallout 3 animations.
vats of FEV? I'm sorry what are these abbreviations? lol
Did you even play the game? Any fallout game at all?
Does anyone know if Marts Mutant mod can cause lag? Because I just installed it and when I'm wandering the wastes I feel that I get lag spikes more often.
Say Long ago i saw someone play a 3-D Fallout..it looked like a communit fan made game which looked good. Is that true or is someone messing with me
Does anyone know if Marts Mutant mod can cause lag? Because I just installed it and when I'm wandering the wastes I feel that I get lag spikes more often.
It takes up more RAM with the model/texture memory, I'm sure Mart released a low-def pack somewhere.
5:53 PM - Zombii (!ent_remove @all): Tobar: "You should have heard the things that came out of your mouth!" 5:53 PM - Zombii (!ent_remove @all): Me: "You're a dead man you son of a bitch" 5:54 PM - Zombii (!ent_remove @all): Tobar: "Murder? You're father would be---" 5:54 PM - Zombii (!ent_remove @all): *ripper sounds*
[editline]02:44AM[/editline] So true.
It takes up more RAM with the model/texture memory, I'm sure Mart released a low-def pack somewhere.
I don't think there is one, any other suggestions on what to do?
I don't think there is one, any other suggestions on what to do?
Turn off any plugins that increase spawns? MMM doesn't get really demanding at all until you tell it to put a shitload of enemies onscreen, in its vanilla state it's pretty benign.
