If it's done right, it would be great. Gamebyro just can't do fluidity well, though.
Oh shit, they said all npcs are killable now. I wonder how that'll affect the story.

That does actually look really, really good. It does seem to be closer to the original Fallouts, at least compared to FO3. Plus, barely any kids! Hooray!
God, I feel sorry for console owners for having to put up with that HUD. Christ, it's huge.

I'm glad it's re-adding RPG elements from the first like traits.
I was iffy on this, but the attention to detail in the casinos and hotels alone has sold me

This is not an FPS. it's a First Person RPG with guns. now, the guns have a skill percentage which diretly infuences your chances of hitting. (you know all this, i'm getting to the point) You're not meant to go all CoD in this game. they've included a fancy, RPG flavored auto-aiming system that removes the human flaw factor from the aiming so that it's all about the calculations. this is how you're meant to shoot. and THAT'S why the leveling system is there in the Fallout series of Role Playing Games.
IF however you want a post apocalyptic-ish FPS with light undertones of RPG, Go play STALKER. if you don't... well.
i wasn't offensive, i wasn't. i just gave you the reason WHY this isn't your usual FPS and why it is not a Broken FPS but a well working RPG.

You don't have to remove the deep RPG systems for the real time shooting not to suck complete balls, though.
by some very insane freak accident, that Demo succeded in nostalgiaing me to hell and back again for the old ones. New Vegas feels, to me, like it's going to do the old ones as much justice as is possible for what it is. All opposing fans of the old series needs to shut up and just ignore the game so we can enjoy the full series.

I don't see how you would do that without screwing over any need for gun skills. No, people need to understand how it's supposed to work. At least they have Vats... Alpha Protocol players don't.
I don't mind personally since i'm a scopeless sniper character most of the time... i spot enemies at up to 900 feet away and start VAT'ing them. I swear, i can hit Arkansas from the Lowest point in minefield, roughly 400 feet away clean in the head when i use vats. and i accept that shooting without vats is gambling. i rarely resort to it unless the enemy manages to give chase, by which time they're so close that if anyone misses a shot, they're shooting with their backs turned.
It's just how it's supposed to be mate.
Look at the idiot behind me.

also that video made me 100x more excited for New Vegas.

not very well i would assume, Devs said it's possible but you would miss alot of things.
Did you get that gun from classic fallout weapons or fallout 3 wanderer's edition?
And the ironsights in the trailer and that video aren't the final ones, that guy said. I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Classic Fallout Weapons, Wanderer's Edition makes Fallout 3 crash.

How do you deal with that mod considering half the guns phase into your face when reloading?

I didn't think the ironsights were bad in the first place but that a relief for other people.
Also holy crap anti-material sniper and light machine gun require 8 strength!
Protip: Ironsights need to actually work for them to actually be ironsights. Moving the gun model under the player's face and zooming in does not equal ironsights.
Hmm... i wonder if Ironsight aiming will increase shooting stat by some % or if hip firing will give Penalty?
whatever it is, please, keep the chance to hit system. we have enough FPS out there, but so few Fallouts.

It was annoying as fuck at first, but now I really don't notice it.

It'll most likely be like what happened when you right clicked in fallout 3 (ergo: zoom in, better manual aim accuracy) but with the added eyecandy of ironsights.
I feel like a sinner for not having preordered this yet... It was down to 25 bucks for preorder the other day. now it's back up to 35. i feel stupid.
In a fit of violent retardation, I impulse-downloaded Animated Prostitution. None of the characters actually do anything, they just... stand there. Any idea on how to fix this?

Run your load order through BOSS-F. Create a merged patch with FO3Edit. Masterupdate everything. These 3 things should be the first things you do after ticking the mod in FOMM.
I think I may have found the best Fallout 3 Weapon Mod ever.

Wow... i'm gonna need you to repeat that slowly. i've only played Vanilla so far, with some texture mods, and i'm gonna install FWE and Darnified today.
i know there's a Fallout Mod Manager, there's some invalidate stuff. but what are the others?

I should download that just for shits and giggles :v:
Also I'm thinking off uninstalling FOSE. Fallout 3 may be the game I'll ever achieve every achievement and I kinda want to do that. Should I?
So i heard you liked 12 minutes of gameplay?

Lovin' the hippie bunker
I was against buying New Vegas at first, because I thought it seemed boring and I wanted to buy the Fallout 3 GOTY first. (But first I have to finish Oblivion!)
That 12-minute gameplay changed my mind: New Vegas seems much more livelier than the Capital Wasteland, which seems... deader.
Plus, gambling: How cool is that!
I wish they would show Vault 21, though. 200 years of rampant gambling from all types of folk would certainly change the Vault a buttload.
The spinning roulette wheel on the loading screen is a nice touch.
But the bright lights, the folk walking the streets late at night...
Who knows, maybe I'll forgo my (roleplay) abhorrence of drinks and order a round or two in one of the game's casinos.
(Although I do drink in Oblivion.)
New Vegas has my support; it looks truly awesome.
And maybe this time I'll stay away from the spoiler-filled Fallout wiki.
Is there some way to make ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated work on Windows 7?
