You can hire water caravans from The Hub to go to the Vault, although it brings up some thing about the super mutants being able to trace it back.
Pretty sure it still helps though.
Maybe prolonging the "water chip" time limit with the water caravans shortens the [sp]"Vault destroyed by Super Mutants[/sp] time limit in the second half of the game.
Is it just me or do I find Fallout 2 a much harder game, in comparison to Fallout 1.
Enclave Patrols, 'nuff said.
Also do you guys find Fallout Tactics hard as shit? I swear I can't even get past the first mission.
Heh. Started Fallout 2 again, and i killed everyone in the first Village with my trusty spear.
Are there any mods that remove the time limit in FO1?
I thought that a patch removed the time limit.
Also do you guys find Fallout Tactics hard as shit? I swear I can't even get past the first mission.
Combat is NOT at all like FO1 or 2, you'll have to play it more like X-Com. Duck both increases your aim and decreases your ability to get shot/hit, while laying prone increases your aim alot, it increases your chances to get hit aswell. Also, use cover.
The AI is also really stupid when it comes to cover and the only way they will move is if they are running away, if their out of ammo, or if you move out of your view (and that's only for sometimes).

Yes.
Fallout 1: You start out with a pistol, plenty of ammo, and after Vault 15 you get a leather jacket, a 10mm SMG, not to mention if you go into the Vault 13 armory a nice slice of ammo and a shotgun. Go to Junktown, get a free hunting rifle from the guy who tries to kill Killian.
Fallout 2: Temple of trials is an unholy bitch, then all you get is $100 and a spear, oh yeah and healing powder that reduces perception. You can find a Pipe Rifle, the most shit gun in any fallout game, and then maybe a 10mm pistol if you're lucky in the Klamath rat caves. Then you encounter highwaymen with sniper rifles and P90's and get your shit fucked.
Yeah... Fallout 2 is a bitch.

When I'm around with the first companion (Ian? Not sure) and the assassin starts shooting at Killian, Killian always hits Ian, and it ends in me looting all of his possessions, giving dog tags to the guy who wanted him dead, shooting him too, and leaving Junktown forever.

It's easy until you meet the robot faction. They are fucking annoying.

I don't know, i think the pipe rifle has the edge over the BB gun >.> Well, atleast i got some use out of it, using it at longer ranges then when the enemy gets closer i stab them to death with my spear. I chose to slaughter all the slags with Modoc Village so after that it was pretty much smooth sailing after i looted everything else.
BB gun has hilarious crits
BB gun has hilarious crits
Thing that pissed me off about it was that i found like, 100 BB's for it but didn't have it. So i traded it in. At least an hour later i find it. Feeling more pissed off then usual at something so small, i kill everyone at Modoc. DAMN that was some good loot. It was so easy because of the inability for off screen characters to be alerted to gunfire.

Or you can work on your stealing skill, and steal a guns off of people.
Or explode their pants.
[editline]11:18PM[/editline]
Easy way to get a Bozar in Fallout.
Or you can work on your stealing skill, and steal a guns off of people.
Hypotheticaly you can steal anything at any level. Save before you pick pocket, if you fail, reload. God, exploits are awesome.
after trying to explain why fallout 2 and 3 differ, savril seems to loose the plot
'what the bloody cunts are you talking about
wait a second i just searched through your post history and what the fuck that was like back in march what the hell. piss off.
and regarding fallout 3, you can still play the game from start to finish in any way you want so i have no idea what the fuck you're talking about
so uh, fellate my bold beefy bludgeon if you think otherwise because really i just don't give a shit'
What the fuck are you talking about?
He's most likely drunk, unless I've misunderstood, he's replying to someone on the front page. :v:
"Fellate my bold beefy bludgeon"
Classy.
My problem with Fallout 3...
I got a new hard drive, thus Fallout 3 was obviously uninstalled, but before I got a new hard drive Fallout 3 ran fine on highest settings. I also got a new graphics card because my previous one has died(this one is better than the one that died, its a: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS). Now, I try to play Fallout 3, but I can only play for about 3 - 10 minutes, because it freezes for a about a second, then it quits, with out any error messages, and no warning. It seemed to start when I leave the Vault, and VATS causes it to crash too, my guess maybe that its got to be something graphical, but my dad has used this very same videocard and Fallout 3 ran fine on it when he played it. I have tried the following, to fix the problem:
Uninstall/reinstall
Delete everything concerning Fallout 3 except save games, then uninstall/reinstall
No anisotropic
No anti-alias
Highest anti-alias
Highest anisotropic
Ultra high quality
High quality
HDR
Bloom
No light effects
800x600
1024x768
1152x864
1280x960
1280x1024
Updated graphics drivers/ downgraded them to time Fallout 3 came out.
Used Window mode
None of these, and in combinations have worked at all to fix this problem. No other games have this problem. Thanks for the help/ attempted help.

I have the same damn issues

Well that fucking sucks.
If you have issues with Fallout 3 I suggest you go to the Bethesda Forums, they have a nice section for it.

I can't seem to play Fallout 3 for to long, I download mods, I'll play it for a day or two, Then I'll stop and repeat myself about a mouth later on.
Has anyone else's Fallout 3 minimized itself a lot and you were unable to bring it back up again? It's been plaguing me and my friend for the last week.

That happens to me with TES4. I install it, get a bunch of big mods, then get bored before I can do much.

Short attention spans?
That happens to me with TES4. I install it, get a bunch of big mods, then get bored before I can do much.
Meh. I cant play TES4 anymore. I've done all you can do. Every quest beaten. Good charecter, evil charecter, been EVERYWHERE, And I only get mods that I want, and they dont involve quests, usualy like little HUD stuff and plugins, like spell delete. I have ran the game dry.
I'm still having problems with Fallout 2. I'm starting to think it's the 64 bit. All pre-rendered cut scenes have fucked up colors and I'm unable to reach the first ant in the Temple because it crashes (I can't even CAD out of it).
