Oh wow I just went to NMA and they're bitching about how there's a blinged out pipboy that you can unlock.
It's sad that half the admins on NMA and the Fallout wiki are the same guys. They're really aggravating
It sad that they don't like a game? :colbert:
Anyone else's game freezing every few minutes? (PC, Vista, not 7)
If your not freezing every few minutes then you are a lucky bastard.
It sad that they don't like a game? :colbert:
Sad that they're obsessed fanboys.
I rarely see them talk about Fallout 3, so obsessed is not a word I would use.
If your not freezing every few minutes then you are a lucky bastard.
So is it something recent? Guess I picked a shitty day to pick up Broken Steel.
From what I can gather these crashes where present in Oblivion, so its not recent I guess.
I've got this weird problem with my Fallout 3. It never ceases to crash at the slide-show in the beginning. I disabled FFDShow for Fallout3, reinstalled several times, and it still refuses to work.
From what I can gather these crashes where present in Oblivion, so its not recent I guess.
Well, I used to have no trouble running the game, but I stopped playing for a while, and now it just refuses to do anything.
Am I the only one who can run this game with complete stability? I always see people complaining of crashes but I sometimes played it for 6 hours at a time when I was really addicted to it and I rarely had a crash, no more then an average game, minimal lag and very little issues.
I got a trio of regulators to fight that huge group of mutants down where Hubris Comics is. It's just something that feels so great when you sit off to the side in a stealth suit, watch the regulators just barely manage to win the skirmish, losing all but one man in the process, then walk up to the one limping survivor, and execute him by headshot. I replayed the battle from the save over and over again, baiting both groups into each other's sights, and watch the mass firepower of the mutants rip the regulators to shreds, the regulators use good cover and slaughter the mutants in a choke point, or watch a perfectly good position ruined by that one idiot with the shotgun who charges right into the advancing horde. Is there a mod that allows for arena-style fights like that where you can just see NPC armies just duke it out over an obstacle course or something?
I never really realized that the AI in F3 isn't as bad as I thought, a lot of crouching and flanking takes place then I noticed on my first playthrough back in '08
Guys, i have a problem. I have RTS installed. Ok, so when I want to play Operation Ancorage, you have to talk to that scribe, right? But I can not end the dialog. I get stuck at "I need companions", and she declines. But i can not exit the dialog. Help, maybe?
Go into the console and type 'closeallmenus'.
I have FO3 + all the DLC and I was wondering if FWE + RTS would be compatible and good for a new character.
Citizenship. Worth it if only to stop the Sub-Amenities office clerks from trying to bounce you off each other or back out of Vault City proper. They should carry everything you... Outsiders need. >>I'll shop where I want to, got it?
Like to see more sane SM this time around.

Possibly Vault 13, or the Poseidon Oil Rig?
Has anyone else noticed that fallout new vegas looks like a highly modified fallout 3? not that that's a bad thing or anything but it looks like they've grabbed mtc travellers mod, iron sights mod, hell they have an orbital strike control feature similar to the enclave commander mod. They've got the old school plasma weaponry too it looks like they've taken a hint from the modding community and also gone back to a bit of the fallout classic content, While that's a good thing it makes me wonder how many ideas they borrowed from modders to improve the game. That being said it still looks like it's going to be a lot of fun! I just finished playing through fallout 3 again now I gotta finish all the dlc.

I liked Fallout 3 but I still think Bethesda should stick with their Elder Scrolls.
WALL OF TEXT So I was always a fan of the fallout universe and lore, but turn based combat turned me (no pun intended) away from the game. I played fallout 3 and I loved it, just the fact that the combat was good. (To this day I do not know how in god's name you can't hit a giant scorpion, while it's standig still. Turn Based combat is just not my piece of cake) so I found my uncle's games. there are orignial copies of both FO1&2 they were bundeld to a magazine back in 2000. So I said, eh, try them out. I have played FO1, but I quitted playing it around Junktown. So I started playing with 2. I started playing got up to the point when you have to talk about Vic's flask with Vic. Got the radio and the slave boss Metzger is like LOL HE AIN'T GOIN NOWHERE LOL, GIBE MONEY. So I started doing a few sidequests. The problam was that I had a fucking spear still, and I managed to steal off a 9mm Handgun and 24 bullets, Now I was able to do some reasonable damage. So I help with that Torr guy to guard the brahmin when these 2 guys show up, trying to talk me in to kill the poor fellow so I thought"Welp, they are evil, and they have a shop, they must have some money!" By this time there was only one scorpion and I had like 3 bullets left. after that I switched to the spear to kill damb&Damber. I sat there. For 1 god damn hour, I am not joking fighthing those 2. I missed. They Missed. One guy finally died then came the other one. It was so fucking boring, I was raging. So after that idiotic long fight I said, fuck it, vic can rot, After that I just wandered about the game map found Vault city, I have to go to gecko. By this time, I had almost no money, no bullets, so I was fucked. I gave up on this game. The combat is just fucking annoying, it's probably only me I played dozens of RPG's but my god. But I want to enjoy this game so bad! WALL OF TEXT ENDS HERE

WALL OF TEXT ENDS HERE
The first one was good but imo Fallout 2 was horrible considering you start out with little to no supplies and the game expects you to know where everything is.
Has anyone else noticed that fallout new vegas looks like a highly modified fallout 3?
How big was the rock you've been living under
Fallout 2 is realy hard, I think. You start with a spear and healing powder that reduces your perpecity. In Fallout 1 you have a pistol and enough ammo for it, and if you go to Vault Nr.?? (The one you have to go to first) you get a leather jacket and SMG
I want to learn more about the Vault-Tech and the Pre-War, I'm one of those people who really enjoys a back story in games.
How big was the rock you've been living under
pretty damn big it seems. New Vegas= made by some of the old guys, hence the shit from the GOG.
RTS is an absolout pain in the arse, The Brahmin Whip doesnt work :saddowns:
Anyone here try out the Van Buren tech demo? That should've been FO3, I still like the game we got but, Van Buren does feel more like a fallout game to me. Then again it was made by the same guys who made Fallout 1&2
