I'd suggest playing vanilla.
Alright I'll give it another go. I didn't have the DLC last time so that might change things.
When New vegas comes out i'm going hardcore mode.
looks cool

Hardcore mode is the only shit I'm gonna be playing. Fuck all those other difficulties. Hardcore very hard mode is the real mans choice.
As epic as it gets.
Massively great series.

About time that they put this in. I always hated that you go to places and all pepole are like
WE HAVE NO WATER AND FOOD WE CANNOT LIVE HERE. While you can travel 2 fucking motnhs withouth eating, or stopping to sleep.
I hope that you can get a bedroll or a tent, or that sleeping stuff will be the most annoying thing ever.
if not a mod will probably be put out quickly.
I think Fallout 3 was one of the best games ever made, mostly for the modifiability. I still loved 1 and 2.
Just picked up Fallout 3 yesterday. It's harder than Oblivion (which is great!), and VATS is pretty cool.
The character creation was really awesome.
Okay, what is this RTS add-on I am reading? you can build your own town for real?

Yes, the catch is, it has a terrible user interface and finding companions is a bitch.
Just finished Fallout 2! Was good, though the boss was easy once you could use the turrets. Also, for some reason after the prolouge goes, and the credits I press esc to skip, and it puts me to the main menu. Do I have to wait it out?

Well, it crashes after the oil rig movie now. Great.
Was there anything that worthwile to do after the end? I did what I wanted to, though I would love to know what happens when you take ms kitty to a date :v:
Always get RTS: New Wave.
It's bucketloads better.
Because it uses FOSE, it doesn't have the annoying '<x> has worn off' messages, and no more hotkeys!
Plus, there's no limit to where you can place objects. Yep, no more 'You are too far from your village center!' messages.
It's awesome, and with the new blueprint system, you can craft anything!
Even pieces of interior cells. Yeah, I tested it. I was actually trying to blueprint a sign in Vault 101, but I accidentally got the wall.

I had the old RTS. If I want to run New Wave, do I enable both in the mod manager or just the new one?
I love New Wave, I made Nuka Cola machines over and over again... Dammit I can't wait for New Vegas.
I am going to pre-order the shit out of the New Vegas Collector's Edition.
Everytime when I see this thread, I start to think about new vegas :downs:

Disable the old version, then activate the new.
I advise you make a new save profile.

I'm always thinking about New Vegas.
Has anyone else noticed that fallout new vegas looks like a highly modified fallout 3?
not that that's a bad thing or anything but it looks like they've grabbed mtc travellers mod, iron sights mod, hell they have an orbital strike control feature similar to the enclave commander mod. They've got the old school plasma weaponry too
it looks like they've taken a hint from the modding community and also gone back to a bit of the fallout classic content, While that's a good thing it makes me wonder how many ideas they borrowed from modders to improve the game.
That being said it still looks like it's going to be a lot of fun! I just finished playing through fallout 3 again now I gotta finish all the dlc.
A lot of the stuff they are using is from their original games. Remember, the team making new vegas is the original team that made fallout 1 and 2.
When will the UK get the Collector's Edition and preorder bonueses?!

I just played fallout 1 again,
I actually [sp]killed the master without just making him give up[/sp] :smug:
I was wondering if anyone could help me get a setup of mods for FA3 that actually work well together, so far i've had to re-install a couple of times because i'm either doing it wrong or installing ones that aren't friendly with others
Nothing that compromises the game obviously, balanced and pretty ones like Fellout, Project beauty maybe (not sure what it's like), the one that changes all the animations for the weapons sounds good etc... Generally ones that increase the quality of the play-through (i've got all the DLC's by the way).
So if someone could recommend a few that surely work together that would be great
I've gotten back into FO3. The ONLY cheat will be using is the unlimited money one.

S'like saying "the ONLY drink I'll have tonight is whiskey..."
But I digress.
