Why do you need companions? The game is easy enough solo.
I don't know, just for the hell of it...
I'm really looking forward to FONV, especially since they made the weapons more realistic.
Weird, I wonder where they're getting this '11 hours of cutscenes' stuff from then, because there's like 2 cutscenes intro and outro which take 10-15 minutes total.
The actual article says most of it is probably the Making Of video, but I can't imagine it being that long.
I hope Fallout New Vegas has the weapon upgrades I'm hoping for.
Fallout 3 had 11 hours of cutscenes? I call bullshit
They probably mean the storyline. Maybe it means that the central story will be less mind numbing, allowing for the devteam to work on the 'fun' aspect of the game.
Leaving the matter of what Vault 101 is going to do without a replacement doctor unresolved isn't exactly a monument to storytelling genius.
Maybe they'll find another? Maybe you killed everyone in the vault? They've sent people to send water to a vault before, I'm sure they can have a doctor visit every 2 weeks or so.

I seriously hope Obsidian made Gamebryo not suck.
I seriously hope Obsidian made Gamebryo not suck.
Sometimes that seems like it would be impossible.
I seriously hope Obsidian made Gamebryo not suck.
Obsidian aren't miracle workers.

Man, I download a mod that lets you blow shit apart in the wastes and its fucking awesome Nothing feels more badass then firing an Experimental MIRV at a raider camp and watching the barricade pieces fly all around
Something I'm preparing for New Vegas: starter packs for factions and different playing styles. The repeater model is a placeholder.
I don't know, just for the hell of it...
I think it just wrecks the game. Especially if you have Fawkes and his big ass gatling laser. He just does everything for you and on when you are a higher level he is pratically invincible.
Fallout 3 had 11 hours of cutscenes? I call bullshit
Maybe the 11 hours of cutscenes include all the different recorded outcomes for the ending. [editline]09:31AM[/editline] Unless there were like 200 possible endings I don't see how that's possible though.
Good thing the G.E.C.K is supposed to come with release so you would be able to put that in pretty quickly.
That's been the plan ever since that information was released. There's a lot I want to make with the new GECK, particularly in the weapons department. Apparently, a developer posted some information about how ammo subtypes will work, on the Something Awful forums:
BTW, mod-wise, it's really easy to make inclusive/exclusive lists for ammo. Weapons can point to a "FormList" of ammo in GECK, which is just a list of references to IDs in the editor. You could make multiple types of .38 Special and .357 Magnum ammo items, put them in separate lists (with the .357 Magnum list also being inclusive with the .38 Special ammo) and have a .38 Special revolver that only fires the .38 Special ammo types and a .357 Magnum revolver that fires all .38 Special and .357 Magnum ammo types. BLEEP BLOOP nerd stuff but yeah you can do it.
And on shotguns:
I believe the shotguns we've discussed are the Single Shotgun (break-action single shot), Caravan Shotgun (break-action over/under), Lever-Action Shotgun (fffff durrr), and Riot Shotgun (). I think the only silenced/suppressed firearm we've discussed is the Varmint Rifle (when equipped with a suppressor mod).
All of this is good news for me.
I hope there is a pump action shotgun in FONV, I wanted one so much in FO3. Hopefully that's what the riot shotgun is.
I'll probably go with the Brotherhood in New Vegas but, I pre-ordered New Vegas so I hope I can use my Canteen with the Brotherhood outfit.
Prediction for modding community during New Vegas release first 2 weeks: Various Bug fixes, Graphical upgrades, General good stuff 2nd Month: SUPPAH KAWAI WASTELAND 4 6.^>^>^>^

I hope someone ports the heavy incinerator and gauss rifle into New Vegas if they're not in, although they couldn't be hosted on fallout 3 nexus because it's illegal.
Are they serious about the preorder bonuses? Most of the items are either stimpacks, or recycled armor/guns from FO3, the armored vault suit, the weathered 10mm, the "Tribal" blastmaster suit, seems like a waste of money.
Why do you need companions? The game is easy enough solo.
Pack mules.
They aren't anything to write home about, sure. The armoured Vault 13 jumpsuit even exists already on the Nexus, albeit in a less ragged form and without metal armour gloves.
I hope someone ports the heavy incinerator and gauss rifle into New Vegas if they're not in, although they couldn't be hosted on fallout 3 nexus because it's illegal.
I want a gauss rifle which doesn't run on microfusion cells and isn't classified under Energy Weapons.
