I do, and it's so obviously fake it's not even funny
I just pre-ordered New Vegas :woop:
I really can't wait for this game; even if it's just FO3 in a different setting, as long as it's got a large enough map to explore that's packed densely enough (hopefully the charred out buildings and towns will actually have something worth finding now) I will love it.
I agree. FO3 is one of my favorite games of all time. Even if it's just the same stuff with a new story line and some new weapons I'll be happy.
Hey where did you guys pre-order from?
I pre-ordered from gamestop because I have 41 dollars off a game of my choosing and because the pre-order pack seemed more unique because it doesn't look like there's another 10mm pistol in the game.
Amazon because they give you a $20 discount on a future game if you pre-order through them.
Also I am super lazy and don't want to actually have to go to Gamestop to pick it up.
Steam. More convenient for me and besides, none of the pre-order bonuses really caught my interest.
Just bought Fallout 3 GOTY off of Steam.
I've never played a Fallout game before, but I like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and all of Bethesda's earlier games. (Yes, I know Fallout 1 & 2 weren't made by Bethesda).

Yeah, Broken Steel especially. If you haven't already downloaded Mothership Zeta, don't, waste of time and money.

STALKER is very different, though.
RTS mod gets really boring.
I hope it's still shit. (yeah, i'm a terrible person) i liked HAVING to use vats or taking a gamble when not using it... felt like more fun somehow. (yeah, i'm insane)
Actually, I'd have to agree. Since I own Fallout 3 on my PS3, my FPS skills are impaired, forcing me to place emphasis on using VATS as a strategic tool of destruction. It's actually really fun, since I always see the bullet go straight through the poor Raider's head and saves me a good bit of ammo. The downside is that things get a bit repetitive and outside of VATS can be quite dangerous.
Using VATS is basically mandatory when playing HUD-less. Which I do.
VATS is awesome for anything long-distance. The kills look a lot cooler too.
The gratuitous slow-mo gets really old, though.

Every time I see something about New Vegas I get alittle more excited.
I heard that there was a myth that if you finish Fallout 2 and restart it, there is a secret room that you can go into that has all your victims saying a lot of creepy stuff, is this true and if so is there a video of it?
Ok. I've finally decided my role type in New Vegas after reading a lot about the game.
I'm going to be a heavy weapons/armor guy. Completely contrary to my typical stealth role. Why? Because it looks so badass and I'm also sick of my weak character getting killed easy in combat. I want to run in, guns blazing, and have piles of bodies at my feet after an epic battle. My typical stealth role involves picking guys off from a distance with little major action unless someone/something pisses me off.
The difficult thing will be giving up my science and lockpicking skills as primary skills. That's a huge source of caps and items when it comes to looting military compounds.

It was confirmed fake by long time Fallout 2 modders, its simply not possible in the engine.

I did that in Fallout 2 once, I lowered everything and poured points in to Strength. Made me feel like a bad ass getting 2,000 credits with less than 10 minutes in the game by going Slaver.
Ave Caesar!

That's the Legion pack out of the way. Next I'm going to try making a starter pack which caters more to wits and guile than brute force.
Redownloading Fallout 3, and buying the DLC.
Plan to play it over the course of 2 months to pass the time till New Vegas! :buddy:
