Enclave APA confirmed. Oh yes.
Looks like a Fallout 3 mod.
Looks like a Fallout 3 mod.
I thought it was a fallout 3 mod for a sec, also I thought the enclave weren't supposed to be in New Vegas. Also didn't the advance power armor look like this in fallout 3? http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Enclave_power_armor_(Fallout_3)
Fallout 2 APA looked much better, though
I've put a good 300 hours in both Fallout 3 and Oblivion and they feel totally different in my opinion, but that's just how I feel I suppose. I mean, I think of Oblivion and Fallout 3 like Half-Life 2 and Portal or TF2, they all run on the same engine and they all feel the same in terms of controls, and they even share some content in some areas, but they're still different games.
Its not about the game, its about the engine. The new Gamebryo feels stiff and atmosphereless to me, wether its oblivion or fallout. And on topic of source, to me all source games feel kind of the same, but most are awesome and i really like source. Also i felt soooooooo alone and helpless when i left the vault, it was unbelievable. I mean i had nothing, everyone was hostile, and 90% of the population tried to kill me. Maybe im gonna give it another shot.

a new Bethesda Podcast is out, in it you can hear some New Vegas music, and they also confirm DLC. http://bethsoft.com/newsletter/pastnewsletters/newsletter-08.26.10.html
A radio station without tips or news items. There is a god.
It's nice that they added FO2 APA. I used a mod that replaced the FO3 APA with it.
Is anyone else still depressed that the Geckos look and run exactly like those jesus lizards (you know, the real-life lizards that can run across the water, except that the new Geckos are much chubbier and larger)
You guys know that's a mod right? That building's obviously that school near the start in Fallout 3, forgot the name.
Springvale
It was sent out in the official bethesda newsletter
Oh then disregard. Though that still looks like Springvale :psyboom:
It probably is. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a team testing weapons and stuff in Fallout 3, a team working on the New Vegas areas, and other team doing other New Vegas stuff.
Informative. That makes sense.
You guys know that's a mod right? That building's obviously that school near the start in Fallout 3, forgot the name.
Even if it is in the game, it doesn't mean the enclave are. History lesson (disregard fallout 3, it's not strictly canon) During the finale in fallout 2, you kill the american president, spoil his plans, and destroy the last enclave base. The enclave fell apart that night, just as the super mutant empire did at the end of fallout. However, Navarro was left intact, and contained advanced tech that the BoS probably raided. Enclave tech is still around, but the Enclave themselves are dead an gone. The enclave in f3 just didn't get the memo.
I either just found a glitch or i'm just unaware, but if you jump into Tenpenny over the break in the wall and then run down into the metro access and open the gate, you get 300xp without actually completing (or even accepting) the quest. And you get a ghoul mask.
I think that might be a new plasma gun in that picture as well. Looks different to the Fallout 3 one.

Is Nexus infected? If so... I'M GONNA DIE FROM NO MODS!
I've been wondering if it would be at all possible to mod Fallout 3, New Vegas, or Oblivion to add multiplayer. It would be amazing if possible.
I've been wondering if it would be at all possible to mod Fallout 3, New Vegas, or Oblivion to add multiplayer. It would be amazing if possible.
If it was it'd probably have been done already.
It is possible, but the mods created have never been finished because of the difficulty in the making it.
I hope the all items room is still 'coc testqaitems.'
I hope it's the old-fashioned 'coc testinghall' with an outdoor cell for easy fast travelling back to reality.
It is possible, but the mods created have never been finished because of the difficulty in the making it.
Maybe the SA:MP team could do it. They're working on Just Cause 2, though, aren't they?

Is anyone looking forward to visiting Hoover Dam, Area 51, and using poker chips as money? I don't know if poker chips will be used as money, but it is confirmed that the different factions will use different currencies. It makes sense that poker chips would be used as a currency in a Las Vegas themed game. I know Area 51 isn't near Las Vegas, but the open world will most likely be condensed version of the American south west. Besides, Area 51 would be a bad ass location to visit. We could find prototype air craft and alien bodies. Maybe DLC will allow us to visit Las Angeles and San Francisco too!
J.E. Sawyer already said Area 51 won't be there. And there are three types of currency: NCR dollars, bottle caps and Caesar's Legion coins. Poker chips are used only in casinos for bets or to be cashed in for any of those three currencies.
I can't save in Fallout 3 unless I kill myself first. It is damn annoying.
