Maybe. It's a cool location and again the open world of Fallout: New Vegas really is kind of like a condensed version of the American south west. It could be DLC.
There's just so much fiction and possibly fact surrounding Area 51 which would fit in easily in the Fallout universe.
Fine, just so long as it isn't a terrestrial rehash of Mothership Zeta.

I don't know much about Mothership Zeta, but I heard it sucked. It would be cooler if the aliens just took you to Mars so that you have another small open world to explore, albeit a futuristic one.
Would that be a little too unrealistic for the Fallout universe or would it fit in with the rest of the 1950s sci-fi B movie influences?

In fallout 1 & 2 the aliens were only an easter egg
I'm still hoping Bethesda comes out and says Mothership Zeta is not Canon.
But for Zeta to even be considered to be canon, FO3 would have to be considered canon... :roflolmao:
Achievements for new vegas. Main quest looks pretty long.

Excuse my ignorance, I haven't done much research, but is Fallout: New Vegas basically Fallout 3's gameplay, but continuing the canon Fallout story, being the true sequel. to Fallout 2?

What makes FO3 not canon? Is it because it isn't made BY DA GREAFEST GAYM DEF EBUR?
Weren't nearly all of Fallout 3's marked quests tied to achievements? Based on that policy and the list presented here, it doesn't look like there's going to be many such quests in New Vegas either.
That list also brings a couple of things I've seen in New Vegas gameplay videos into question. Namely the "You Missed the Apple" and "Shoot 'em Up" messages, both of which appear to be tracking achievements of some sort. They aren't on the list, so did they get cut or will there be a separate list of challenges like in Borderlands?

Yes.

this isn't No Mutants Allowed. as far as most people outside that forum are concerned, it is cannon. besides, it's not like the events in FO3 affect anything that happens in 1, 2, and New Vegas.

Tempting, but no. I'd rather play the game and see what achievements I can unlock before I actually know what the requirements for them are.
That brings up something I've kinda hated in games. Since when was it an achievement to go along the story line the way the developers intended. OH YOU BEAT LEVEL ONE. ACHIEVEMENT. caps OH YOU KILLED THIS BOSS THAT YOU HAD ABSOLUTELY NO CHOICE BUT TO KiLL. ACHIEVEMENT.
Achievements should be more so "do Y in X time"
"complete X optional missions"
"Kill X enemies with a series of explosions at the same time."
Shit like that. Kinda the way they were before achievements had points, and were solely for the use of the individual player and bragging rights.
According to Oh my character is Tommy Wiseau

FO3's story was dildos. Not only that, the writing/dialogue was abysmal.
Hopefully, New Vegas will make up for that.

Just had to quote that.
Looks alright maybe medium graphics?

The main plot wasn't spectacular, but other than the "IT'S YOUR FATE" plot-hole which got resolved in DLC there weren't any gaping holes in the plot. And do please give me an example of how the dialogue was abysmal.

When you meet Three Dog, if you use the intelligence option that goes something along the lines of "So you use this station to warn people of the wasteland blah blah", pretty obvious. The worst part is Three Dog's response, "holy damn you're as brilliant as your father"

I wouldn't call that abysmal, it's just an exageration. And to most people I know that would be very intelligent and analytical. It's hardly the "Master of unlocking" level stuff people seem to think it is.
IM LOOKING FOR MY FATHER. MiDDLE AGED GUY WITH SOME GREY HAIR.
Yeah. Could at least mention the jumpsuit or his accent, or some other shit that I cant think of.
The writing was par. It seems much better now that I've played farcry two and seen that there is MUCH worse.
Well....voice acting and writing aren't the exact same thing, but the voices were so bad and shitty I never really knew what the plot was beside kill this and that get diamonds track down that one dude.
Quit bitching about how shitty Fallout 3 is. I thought it was good.
You should type about more important things like the Mars idea I had. I mean, how cool is being able to visit Mars in the Fallout universe? There would space ships and suits, little gray men, futuristic shiny mars cities, and a new open world on mars to explore!

Please stop talking.
Mars is just red rock, it'd look even less appealing than the current wasteland
I've been wondering if it would be at all possible to mod Fallout 3, New Vegas, or Oblivion to add multiplayer. It would be amazing if possible.
An Oblivion multiplayer mod was released- quite a while ago. But it didn't get much spotlight and died off pretty much.

Well that, and its a terrible TERRIBLE idea.

and maybe episode 3 should take place in middle earth with gordon freeman fighting alongside frodo!
i love fallout 3.
just ignore the fo1 and fo2 fanboys, they cant just accept newer games. they wont get anywhere with that attitude hahaha
Am I the only one who heard of Fallout because of Fallout 3? Everyone I know seems to be a major fan of this apparently awesome series. Apparently they were all hiding it from me, too. :(
