ok thank you. i shall bid you goodbye then.
oh so in trade screen, if i give him items, (like i give one of the traders a chinese rifle (or whatever it was called) and press accept, it will give me the amount in caps?
Pretty much.
Do you have enough caps to give him? [editline]06:40PM[/editline] Homestuck + Fallout 3 would be awesome.
Everyday you get an update worth 5 seconds of gameplay.
[editline]06:40PM[/editline] Homestuck + Fallout 3 would be awesome.
Quick! Someone work on a WV set of armor!
[img_thumb] http://filesmelt.com/dl/02484.gif[/img_thumb] Sell items -> Get Caps
When I first played FO3 I didn't realise caps were money.
Why not let Zeta be canon? There was a fucking UFO in the first Fallout
It was an easter egg. You call the TARDIS appearing canon? [editline]10:34PM[/editline]
fallout is for casuals
I'm a STALKER fan and I don't hold Fallout 3 in super high regards, but you still embarrass me.
When I first played FO3 I didn't realise caps were money.
I never played the original Fallout Games before 3 but the concept that caps were cash wasn't that hard to grasp. it SHOULDN'T be hard to grasp at all.
Am I the only one who heard of Fallout because of Fallout 3? Everyone I know seems to be a major fan of this apparently awesome series. Apparently they were all hiding it from me, too. :(
Yeah I got fallout 3 first for xbox then I got fallout 1 and 2 and tactics from steam then got fallout 3 for pc I like all the fallouts equally erm except for fallout tactics which is kind of wierd
I'm wondering if New Vegas has fixed some of the issues I had with FO3. Does killing one person in a town, even if you were the only other person in the room, or the only person who had witnessed it, make the entire town go insane and try to kill you? The only time you can kill an innocent person without having 50 people come to get you is when you're out in the wasteland with no one around. When people were talking about the game they say things like: "You have many options in this game when it comes to earning money. You can go on a side quest to get cash or items, you can buy items from people, you can pickpocket or lock pick and steal from them, or you can just kill them and take what you want." But what they don't seem to mention is 3 of the options involved have a possibility of the entire town coming to get you and forcing you to slay over 50 people just for those caps that looked so good 5 minutes ago. They should make it so only people who saw you attack you, and if someone runs and tells other people they will attack you as well. They should also make it so losing a limb doesn't necessarily make a guy die. Or that if you cripple a limb, they should be unable to use it. If a guy is holding a gun in his left hand, shooting his left hand should cripple it, forcing him to drop the gun. One thing in FO3 that surprises is me, is that turning in the android that ran away results in a loss of a ton of karma. It's a robot, who cares if it has feelings it belongs to the guy who created it. And if you tell the robot, he threatens to kill his owner. I would've let him escape, but when he said he was gonna kill the guy I decided not to. It's not his fault he built a robot that ran away. So I finish the quest and all of the sudden I'm evil. Maybe for quests like that they should just give you no karma or something.
Oh you should try BoS, highlight of the series. :ninja:

What I don't get is why you lose karma for helping that guy commit suicide.

Also, if you were made to be a slave and nothing else, wouldn't you run away and hold a grudge against your creator?
I think you can make him kick the guy off the ship. It's the guys fault for giving it emotions and advanced AI, but he still owns it. What if your computer suddenly said "Screw this I'm outta here," and walked away. Wouldn't you want it back?

If you don't want them hiring every single hardass walking past them to kill you yes.
So you must have absolute obidence to your parents?
Did your parents design and assemble you?
Did your parents design and assemble you?
In a way, yeah
Did your parents design and assemble you?
No, but the created me. [editline]04:42PM[/editline] Regardless, no-one should have complete authority over any sentient being, organic or sythetic.
Am I the only one who heard of Fallout because of Fallout 3? Everyone I know seems to be a major fan of this apparently awesome series. Apparently they were all hiding it from me, too.
My brother got Fallout 1 and left it sitting on the computer since he was out with his rpg shenanigans, so I decided to see what it was about. it was about awesome
Holy shit that is awesome.
It looks rather small, but it's cool nonetheless. Now I wish it worked as a gasmask.
Looks a little too flat at the top too, but otherwise it looks great.
So you must have absolute obidence to your parents?
Well it's not like I ran away from home and told someone to kill them so they don't find me. And I'm a human being. I was born so I could grow up and eventually leave home and contribute to society. Robots were made artificially to do their master's bidding. And they're not supposed to leave, they shouldn't have emotions at all. So in a way the guy deserved it for giving it emotions, but it's his property either way.

Why do they have emotions anyway?
Why do they have emotions anyway?
Science demands it be done!
I can't believe I just realised that GameBryo has no fucking shadows what so ever, except on some npcs, what the fuck?
I can't believe I just realised that GameBryo has no fucking shadows what so ever, except on some npcs, what the fuck?
I never looked for them. It's not my first instinct when looking at games to check for shadows.
I never looked for them. It's not my first instinct when looking at games to check for shadows.
I find it mind boggling how Fallout 3 looks nice without any shadows. It's probably because of ambient-occlusion baking or something.
I can't get the Fallout Mod Manager to not crash my game on startup.
