Because you could get the same information one way or another for free. Its not like these players hold sacred knowledge. Either they learned from someone else, or they came up with their own strategies, both of which can be done without paying 300 dollars an hour.
Someone can be the best hotdog maker in the world, but I'm not going to pay 300 dollars to eat one, because its a fucking hotdog and I don't give a shit who made it.

Its still ridiculous for someone to pay that much to play something meant for entertainment, competitive or not. And I'm sure if this person is as good as you say, at least a few of his matches are not "top secret", and therefore could be studied to learn his strategy. Hey look, problem solved and without a dime spent.
i would do it. fuck, im terrible at sc2 and id like to be good at it. people make a lot of money playing it and if somehow you do because a big competitor in tournaments, im sure youd be able to win you 300$ back and then some.

They had fed swain, we had no ignites. Also, stacking HP combined with my ult was helpful since I got swains ignite and focus every fight.
