So i just started playing LoL, any tips for a newbie? I want to learn to use Ashe, though Ryze is so much fun to play he seems overpowered sometimes.
ashe is the best AD carry in the game
if you build AP on ryze i kill u bitch
ashe is the best AD carry in the game

Wha..? What does HALF of the stuff you just said even mean?
I mean i know what carry means, but AP? AD? What? D:
ability power
attack damage
ashe is the best attack damage carry in the game
if you build ability power instead of going mana + armor and magic resist on ryze i kill u bitch
ashe is the best AD carry in the game

You do realize there is no 'best' AD carry, since everyone has their own things and have different performance in different situations. Like, for an example, MF or tristana deals much more damage than Ashe, but they need much more better teamplay/cc from their allies to pull it off.
I really should do a 'newb' tip collection and copypaste it every time someone joins. D:
Oh well, just that, the first 200 games, don't expect to win, just play for fun and don't care if other start blaming and stuff like that. Don't rage. Since in my eyes the bad community is the biggest reason why someone stops playing this awesome game.
O-ooh. Right, thanks for that.
Speaking of Ashe, how exactly do i deal with other champions? Only her Extended arrow thingamajig seems to be a good ability against them. That and maybe frost arrows. Right-click attack is enough?

I'm not able to rage at LoL, not yet at least ;D. The only thing i get lost in is the amount of stats in-game. Aside from that i think i'll be able to do rather well on my own, still i played only 3 matches so.. yeah.
if you build ability power instead of going mana + armor and magic resist on ryze i kill u bitch
You do realize only 'old' players build AP on Ryze since he was reworked, a new player wouldn't do that.
Just buy the recommended items and remember that staying alive is more important than getting a kill. Also, the game is about destroying the enemy base, not about your personal score.

Basically, if you end up in a 1v1 situation, you have to learn from experience what skill these enemy has so you can get prepared if they suddenly dash at you or start spamming spells on you. Just try to use your long auto attack range in your advantage and try to keep out their reach/dodge their skill shots. It is generally a good idea to not to take on 1v1 if you aren't sure about the situation. Maybe follow a team mate around or ask them to help you kill someone with you.

I'll have to remember this one - the only problem is that i usually fail to run away from most battles - that is from the ones i'd have to run from, i.e. 1v3 etc.

Yeah, well feel free to ask anything here, I can help as much as I can and others will most likely help too. I am not the best player around here, but I like helping others since I have played much and earned experience about this game.

For Ryze you should focus on items that give you Mana. Frozen Heart, Banshee's Veil, Archangel's Staff, etc.
Read the Thread OP for LoL Terminology.
As for tips, I guess I'll just list a few basics.
Watch the map and see if anyone is missing. Chances are they might be attempting to ambush (gank) you. If you are scared, recall buy 1-2 wards and put them in the little bush in the river near your lane so you can see if anyone is coming.
If you are getting smashed by someone on the enemy team, tell your team to focus that champion. If you take down the main damage source, team fights will be a lot easier.
Learn not to use static builds. Mix up what you buy depending on the situation. Getting beat up by a melee AD champion? Consider investing in armor.
Learn to last hit. Unless you're getting pushed heavily in your lane, try to get the last hit on enemy minions to get the gold bonus. Try not to mindlessly hit them. Look for ones on low health and kill those.

all of his spells scale with AP as well
just because it's obvious that mana is better it doesn't mean that only old players would build AP on ryze
Teemo is the best "not give a fuck and have fun" champ.

I say Singed.
Run around, poison everything, push like a boss, never die and don't give a single fuck.

you can compare carries in terms of strengths and weaknesses
overall imo ashe has the most strengths and the least weaknesses
it's dumb to say that in every situation she is the best carry but in general id say she is the best
[editline]4th June 2011[/editline]
offtopic: has anyone tried f.lux
it sounds p.cool
Speaking of items, are the recommended ones worth getting? I get these and p. much none of the others.

Yeah, even though she has no real steroids (arguably Hawkshot though) her CC and utility is just ridiculously awesome.
I like the new Annie, I've had 5 wins in a row with her!

u jelly
You do realize that I could have told it this way too:
Yeah, well feel free to ask anything here, I know everything and everbody else don't know anything about they game. I am clearly the best player here and I have the most games played, I usually don't help noobs but this time is a exception since I am not getting laid right at this moment.

Speaking of items, are the recommended ones worth getting? I get these and p. much none of the others.
On most champions yes, it shouldn't matter much at your level of play (Assuming you're lvl1-10)
Later on when you get better (and your opponents), it's worth experimenting and getting advice on what to build.
Speaking of items, are the recommended ones worth getting? I get these and p. much none of the others.
Yeah, in most cases they are good, but you need to be able to buy situational items against the enemy team.
For example, if the whole enemy team or large majority is physical damage, something like a Thornmail or Frozen Heart would be a worthy investment, even on a carry.
However, for slightly better item builds than recommended, go on Mobafire.com and check out the guides (remember to sort by score) and read the highest rated, so you can get an idea of the champion, and what you generally want to build.
Speaking of items, are the recommended ones worth getting? I get these and p. much none of the others.
Imo, just get the recommended items, later on you will find out what are better for each situation and stuff like that. But, like already said, be flexible with the order. If you are having problems staying alive try buying the defensive items before the damage items.
mobafire has terrible builds and you shouldn't use them
tank garen highest rated guide wtf
mobafire has terrible builds and you shouldn't use them

Well, there is some good builds and some really bad builds really high rated. Since, we people have this thing called an opinion. Anyway, you can ask here what item is good for which champ and in what kind of situation etc.
f.lux is pretty cool
