Welp, ive probably made the easiest port of all time right now.

basically its DM lockdown with one or 2 added decals and replaced spawn-points, kinda sloppy i guess, but then again, it is my first port.

The maps in this are just awful. It's got loads of potential though.

Dropping your weapon is faster, it switches to another weapon quickly since it skips the draw animation.
What's the size of this? The first attempt gave me a download of 304MB's and the installer didn't work.
Where do I find the tutorial for this game?

Is there sprint? In the options it says there is but when I press it I end up walking.
Why the fuck is my download [b]ALWAYS[/b] corrupted?
I both tried the ZIP and the EXE download but none worked.

It says that the archive is damaged or unknown format. Since is a zip i guess it's damaged
I was just playing in one of the dev's servers and he manages the weapon damage and what not, so I asked him if they're going to fix the Hand Canon and he said he's definitely going to tweak it.
Played this last night with a group of people in hopes it would actually be good. It looks like it's trying to be a The Specialists remake, but it's just no where near it.
Afterward, me and some friends all downloaded The Specialists and played that instead. One of the only HL1 mods I still rather enjoy.

Pretty sure that Action Half Life came out before TS. I don't really see how it's trying to be the specialist when all they share is kung fu and diving.
Never heard of Action Half Life, so I figured this was just like a sourcified version of TS rather than a remake of another HL1 mod. The games still seem very similar to me: diving, kung fu, throwing knives, grenades, guns. It's just not as good as it could be, but it has potential. The controls and movement seem rather clunky, the weapon animations are way too drawn out, there seems to be little or no prediction or lag compensation going on with the weapons, so yeah.. Still needs a lot of work in my opinion.
I am loving the throwing knives! 7 kills in a row with it.
It does take some luck/skill with it to get consecutive kills. Bandolier with throwing knives makes for awesome games! I do wish that the sniper rifle was a little more powerful than it is.
Trying to port all the HL2DM maps, doing over watch right now, streets of it are entirely dark for some reason.
Gonna try this now. Never got to play Action Half-Life or TS.

Isn't this the game where in one of the maps there was a secret entrance to a crazy sequence of different levels containing traps and puzzles?
I remember there being a giant pear that would crush people or something.
A game mode that give you points based on the way you kill people will be fun.
Like a jump-off-wall-kick-in-face kill will give you more points than just shooting a guy with a shotgun.
Sure, why not. I'll give it a go. I need something to distract me from my third playthrough of Portal 2.

That usually means it hasn't finished downloading.

I just noticed it jumps from 200MB to Download Complete.

Great fun. Would have liked more freedom like wallrunning, but it's great as is.

TS came out later and did everything that AHL did but better, there was a unofficial Source version of TS that someone started but it bombed within weeks because the guys working on it didn't actually seem to know anything about modding.
There is talk of a new official version of TS on a newer engine, possibly Unreal Engine 3 or the CryEngine but it's just talk for now.
finally a 100% complete download.

Their weapon switching implementation (where it has to holster the current weapon and draw the new one) is god-awful as it breaks hud_fastswitch 1

Yeah, they really should fix the crashing. After the server crashes, a lot of people won't rejoin anymore.
Love this game! The only thing so far that bothers me are the blocky maps.
Yes Action Halflife was first (Infact it was one of the first HL1 mods, excluding TFC and CS). The Specialist took elements of AHL and The Opera. Most noticeablly wall running from The Opera and Kunfu from AHL.
And dropping weapons was always faster in the original (rather than switching), it gave the game that 'action movie' feel to it.
The game looked more awesome from the Trailer.
It's still great fun.
Played on a friends server with sv_Cheats 1 , pretending that I'm the server creator.
I told people to only use kung fu , and was killing the people with guns with the kill command. Sometimes , was just noclipping behind the players , pretending , that I've just walked in , and kicking all the guns from their hands and killing them.
Funny thing , that noone understood that sv_cheats is 1
