Reviews on this mean nothing to me, I am set on buying it based purely off how much I loved fallout 3. Sadly I have to wait for friday as I was born english :'( That and reviews are based on someone elses opinion, which may not be the same kind of person as me.
Ok buddy. [img_thumb]http://www.minecraft.net/img/logo.gif[/img_thumb]
Read:
That doesn't necessarily refer only to aesthetics.
Haha, people on the Minecraft bandwaggon already, sad fucks.. oh no I can't argue and slightly agree or anything that fallout new vegas is like fallout 3, so therfore Minecraft is shit.
Episode 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 were excellent because they offered something unique, something not in the base game. Episode 2 had new puzzles, new gameplay aspects and the continuation of a story the players cared about. Left 4 Dead 2 has a completely different atmosphere from Left 4 Dead- it's pretty much all fancy new content. I don't see anything really redeeming about New Vegas, nothing that I haven't really seen before in a mod or a DLC. All I can see is more of the same, and, as I've said before, I'd pretty much be buying the same game twice. It's not worth it to me.
And yet, you're so wrong. It's not more of the same, but you won't know cause you won't play it. Fine by me, I'm enjoying myself while you're not. It's ridiculous that people can say "Oh it's just a stupid mod that you pay full price for" when you haven't even fucking touched the game. It's much better than Fo3 in every fucking way.
So I'm a fool because I don't want to fling fifty bucks at something I don't think I'll enjoy?
Did you enjoy Fo3? Then yeah, probably are. I've already gotten 12 hours out of it, and I haven't even come close to finishing anything important in it. if you don't want to play it, fine, but to say it's just a "dlc" or a "mod" is pure fucking stupidity.
Its the same argument that FO3 was "oblivion with guns".
I'm just glad that the 10mm is no longer a block of steel attached to a trigger.
Why does Gamebryo have NO SHADOWS AT ALL FOR WORLD GEOMETRY, what the fuck... is this 2002?
I'm just glad that the 10mm is no longer a block of steel attached to a trigger.
And the firing sound is a lot more badass
Its the same argument that FO3 was "oblivion with guns".
And that was always one of the dumbest things people said about it.
Seriously where did they get those guys, and why are they still there?
I get the feeling that it's more of a coding issue and not an animation issue. I just can't bring myself to believe that there's someone that bad at animating working on a somewhat hyped game such as New Vegas.

The puzzles were still the same physics based drop blocks around and the only new gameplay aspects I can think of are popping grubs and firing strider busters. And what you said about L4D2 having a different atmosphere compared to the original I can compare to NV.
Fallout: New Vegas isn't the same as Fallout 3. Maybe gameplay wise, but they added so many improvements (not bug-wise...) that makes it just so much better. Fallout 3 was a dull game, with a storyline that is very, very bland. Episode 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 are different than the originals, same with New Vegas. Stop stereotyping Facepunch into one demographic.
I watch the game demos, and I make my own opinion. I am no robot, who shall be programmed with biased propaganda like IGN or G4. ... I do read a lot of XBLM though.
Episode 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 are different than the originals, same with New Vegas. Stop stereotyping Facepunch into one demographic.
I love Valve and Half-Life. But no. Ep 2 is exactly the same as Half-Life 2 and L4D2 is such a shameless copy and paste of the original with melée weapons.
You can't spell ignorance without IGN.

Why is everyone bashing this game because it plays the same as Fallout 3? Did you think they were going to go back to the old days?
I honestly will not spend my money on this game. It's just a revised version of FO3, but in a different setting. I'm not saying FO3 sucks or FO3:NV, but I'd rather wait until the price drops a ton than buying a not too different version of FO3.
There's fucking invisible walls everywhere in this game! I'd dock a point right there.

Did you buy any of the HL2 eps? if so, might want to revise your post. [editline]20th October 2010[/editline]
There's fucking invisible walls everywhere in this game!
I haven't seen many, just hills I can't walk up.
I run into invisible walls every time I try to take a shortcut. Places that you should be able to climb to are blocked of by invisible walls. They're everywhere.
Who the fuck said New Vegas suck? I will put a bullet in that reviewer head.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/nwLjj.png[/img_thumb]
You just made everyone that said IGN is biased look like an idiot.....
You clearly haven't seen the Fable 3 or Dragon Age megathreads.
How the hell could you condemn New Vegas for being the same game and get the same shit served with a side of completely ridiculous promises to fix Peter Molyneux's broken formula for the third time. You people act like you can't make more than one game on the same (admittedly terrible) engine; I don't think anyone would compare GTA4 and Red Dead Redemption, but somehow it's easier to draw comparisons between a fantasy game from 2006 and a game created by a different studio in 2010. The thing about games from Bethesda (and Obsidian) is that they're all ambitious. This isn't a supposed to be a rant on Peter Molyneux, but he's been "revolutionizing" RPG gaming for the last 6 years with the same broken formula. If there's one thing you can rely on with Bethesda it's that their games are different, so saying it's Oblivion with guns isn't right. Oh yeah, and in my opinion New Vegas is the sequel people expected for Fallout 2.
Tbh I think it kinda is like Oblivion with guns. Fallout 3/NV and Oblivion have the same feel, style, mechanics, physics, rpg elements (kinda similar atleast) and bad voice acting. Not saying it's a bad game though cause they're alright even though I don't like em.
Ok... Now let's say RockStar made an MMO. How much do you want to bet it will play like GTA?
Ofcourse it'll be like GTA, I don't have a problem with that. Nor do I have a problem with Fallout being like Oblivion. There is nothing bad about it, but the fact cannot be ignored.
