your not a professional gamer until you start making $ in the 100k's from playing games
When I was buying a new mouse, my friend kept suggesting a gaming mouse, talking about howmuch better it was. To this day, I still kick his ass with the cheapest mouse I could get.
Have to say, my Razer Copperhead is lovely. I like being able to change sensitivity mid-game.
Changing sensitivity is probably the best, and the only, genuine use in "pro gamer" stuff.
"Pro" gamers are like women, they just buy stuff to make themselves look good but they're really ugly untalented tards.
Ugh, this also makes me sick. Real pro's don't need "pro" stuff. That's only companies milking the cash cow into thinking that inexperienced players need special equipment to win.
Exhibit A: "Turtlebeach" headphones. I don't get it. I constantly hear people bragging about their overpriced headphones. I use a standard headset just fine.
Ever played BFBC2 with the audio set to the wartapes setting? yes. it makes a BIG difference. Ever listened to that *whoosh* in the dice logo in bf2 and 2142? it goes BOOOM. You pay what you get for. High quality audio. These headphones are not overpriced. More like oversized.

Ha Ha! Sexism.

What's so special about this?
Does it magically avoid neckbeards or something?
And yet they're cheaper than prescription glasses.
Prescription glasses actually do shit besides enhance brown colors.
Look at my keyboard, I use this for gaming

We will also start selling PRO GAMER T-SHIRTS that flick sweat and SURPLUSS AWESOMENESS directly from the DEVILISHLY HANDSOME gamer who also happens to be YOU! by wearing this shirt you STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD by displaying the term "1337" STICHED INTO THE FABRIC, therefore symbolizing that you are indeed HARDCORE
Order now, and we'll compensate for that last FRONTAL LOBOTOMY you had!
So they just make everything a yellow tint.
If its so important that I play my game with a yellow tint I'll just change my fucking video settings.
Call of Duty isn't even all that good of a game. But I suppose that these companies like Activision will pump out shit games and shit merchandise because they know it will sell. It's a pity that people fall for this shit.
I use my $10 piss yellow shooting glasses.
The yellow is to cut down on glare.
Maybe I should make PR0 G4M1NG GL0V35 that ENCHANCE YOUR PR0 GAMING PERFORMANCE and will allow you to BE THE ALPHA GAMER IN ANY GAME, by ACCELERATING YOUR GAMING REFLEXES and BOOSTING YOUR GAMING SENSE so that you can DISTINGUISH YOURSELF FROM THE MASS AND ASCEND TO 1337 G4M1ING STATUS.
Costs 120$ shipping not included.
I think I'm going to do this as an experiment.
Obviously you have never played MW2 on a console
I haven't... People really fall for this crap?
REALLY?!
I haven't... People really fall for this crap?
REALLY?!
Yes, and they are extremely proud of it.
Look at my keyboard, I use this for gaming
[img_thumb]http://i36.tinypic.com/2i04p75.jpg[/img_thumb]
That doesn't look pointless at all.
I'm pretty sure that just playing in a well lit room is the only thing you need to not strain your eyes.
I've seen these before, they're for reducing strain on the eyes when looking at computer screens. My mother's co worker has a pair because her eyes hurt after working all night, they also help with clarity, contrast, glare and such. What they've done here is just rehash the product and make it for 1337 g4m1ng.
You're better off downloading FLUX then... it automatically enhances the monitor hue/brightness at night and early in the morning. It's pretty awesome, you should try it.
Maybe it has stereoscopic HD1080p turbo-derp 3D vision built in. :pcgaming:
Maybe it's to capitalize on the fact that yellow tinted glasses improve focusing when you shoot guns in real life. The only problem is, shooting and finding targets in real life is much different then doing it in video games. Yellow glasses won't help anyone.
Not that the pro gamers know that.
I know they do in Call of Duty 4
Yeah, they play ProMod.
[img_thumb]http://moneysavingmom.com/images/old/6a00e552792fa288330128767b8003970c-pi.jpg[/img_thumb]
I go the non-electrical version. I only got it because it was white. It was useful but the one I have now is better.
Look at my keyboard, I use this for gaming
Give it a lick, it tastes just like wasted money.
I don't have a problem with gaming headsets, mice and keyboards. They're all generally very high performance and well made but stuff like those glasses, lol.
My friends colour blind and he says he see's more colors in game with them. you assholes.
Some sort of placebo? Or he smokes pot with those glasses on.
Usually anything marketed as "gaming" or "for professional gamers" is a marketing gimmick and a verbal way of making a certain product seem more impressive then it really is, while being average at best.
I can be considered a competitive TF2 player (not a "professional gamer", just someone who visits the competitive world frequently.) and I am not using a single peripheral which is flat out labeled as for "professional gamers" But rather something that was globally recommended or used by genuinely experienced players who actually know what they are doing, and was recommended through various extremely informative guides.
If you want to genuinely acquire excellent peripherals that you are satisfied with, it is always the best idea to actually research them instead of purchasing something with the highest amounts of pretty packaging and bright blue LED's.
If any of you are interested, I could give you my peripheral list and explain exactly why I picked each one.
My friends colour blind and he says he see's more colors in game with them. you assholes.
He just thinks he can because he doesn't want to accept the fact that he wasted $80 on something that's probably only worth about $0.25 in material costs.
My friend won them from a contest, and said they worked pretty good, but he also said that they were no different from a pair of piss yellow sunglasses with pads on the ear latches.
