Go.
Keyboard: IBM model M - short answer: it is extremely durable, has excellent buckling spring keys, and is excellent for both gaming and typing, it is also probably as immortal as you can get with a computer peripheral. This particular model was made in 1995, I located it on ebay for 30 bucks. Long answer: read this guide: http://www.overclock.net/keyboards/491752-mechanical-keyboard-guide.html Mouse: Intellimouse 1.1 - Extremely easy to acquire, extremely cheap, extremely light weight, pretty durable has excellent ergonomics, probably the one of the best mice out there for low-extremely low sensitivities. Generally this mouse is considered to be outdated by most gaming standards of today, originally being at 125 HZ and a whole 8 milisecond delay from mouse movement and response, it may not seem all that impressive at first. But with an easy overclock to 1000HZ, it becomes an absolute beast of control and precision, beating absolutely every mouse that I previously reasearched and making me understand why such a large quantity of extremely experienced players use this mouse and label it as "virtually perfect." It is also extremely universal when it comes to grip styles, although a palm grip on average would probably be the most comfortable on this thing. Mouse feet: Hyperglides - No particular back story on these, just a bunch of teflon feet which make your mouse significantly smoother, recommended by virtually anyone who uses them, made for many different popular mice, obviously enough including the Intellimouse. Mouse mat: Puretrak Talent - Probably the only peripheral that I own which has a supposed curve in the area of "professional gaming", and even this one does not shove it on your face, it simply states that it is used by a number of professional players, which is true. It has an extremely large surface area, excellent durability, and a very pleasant mousing surface, was mostly designed for low sensitivity players. Headphones: Audio-Technica ATH-A700 - Mostly purchased them after reading a headphone guide on Overclock and Facepunch, both highly recommended them. The headphones are extremely comfortable, comfortable up to the point of the user only remembering about them being on when he has to take them off. Extremely clear and pleasant sound, especially with a soundcard, absolutely excellent all around headphones, virtually impossible to complain about anything.
Experiencing the sensations of being shot, stabbed or blown-up has never really appealed to us. However, one US company hopes it will to some, because it’s developed an interactive PC gaming jacket that delivers such sensory pleasures during gameplay. Some of this 'gaming' shit is useless I tell you, I just don't think console game dwellers realise that PC gamers are not as dumb as they think.
I like the pockets. Good for storing extra mice batteries or sugary snacks for all night MW2 raging sessions...
i thought pc gamers considered themselves PRO-GAMERS!
this is just silly
I showed my friend and he said he would buy them. FML.
It sells, so they won't stop. Just ignore it
As you already know, pro gamers need pro gaming mouses, keyboards, mousemats, headphones and the list goes on. But this time they went way over the line. Now for hardcore pr0 Black Ops gamers need gaming GLASSES, which apparently (and I quote) The color is piss yellow, which probably will fit right in with all the shit brown. Heres the picture of this bad boy: [img_thumb]http://www.dbgamez.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/b/l/blackops_glasses.jpg[/img_thumb] Oh, and it costs 80$. This is goddamn genius! A similar thread is in /v/, but I felt like this NEEDED to be heard.
Oh man, I hate these. I saw them at PAX and tried them on. The girl there told me to look at the big screen with them on, and that they enhance the resolution. That's when I took them off, left, and held in my laughter until I was out of sight.
Reminds me of the way all computer hardware has to have 50 LEDs slapped all over now, and the LEDS must be BLUE. At what point did the way your computer's appearance start to matter more than what was on the screen?
Never, but it's fun to spend $100~ or under to mod your case a little. It's easy to add fans and/or LEDs. Hell, I just painted an entire case white, plan on putting on a Portal Decal. Should look sweet.
I was gonna start raging on the glasses, but then I looked over at my Turtle Beach headset...
I have an old laser GE mouse and Dell keyboard. Shit is cash.
I was gonna start raging on the glasses, but then I looked over at my Turtle Beach headset...
What is wrong with Turtle Beach headsets? You can get some of them for a fairly reasonable price, and they are of decent quality, considering my friends $50 Turtle Beach has lasted him about three years.
Or you can go out and get a pair of Oakleys, and look like a REAL Special Forces Soldier! Modern Warfare 2 sucked, and Black Ops doesn't change anything, or bring anything new to the table, other than different sound effects
I can understand buying similar glasses so you dont fuck your eyes up, but for "having a clear view of critical game objectives" ?
Or you could just change your monitors brightness.

Real pro's don't need "pro" stuff. That's only companies milking the cash cow into thinking that inexperienced players need special equipment to win. Exhibit A: "Turtlebeach" headphones. I don't get it. I constantly hear people bragging about their overpriced headphones. I use a standard headset just fine.
To be honest they probably do have much better build and sound quality
I was gonna start raging on the glasses, but then I looked over at my Turtle Beach headset...
Leave Turtle Beach's alone
I want to see someone use these glasses while playing Fallout 3. Piss yellow mixed with vomit green will be eye rape!

what the fuck is this shit Gaming keyboards are pushing it, gaming network cards are way over the line, but this? Never seen something so useless. [editline]25th October 2010[/editline]
Leave Turtle Beach's alone
oh look you can't use apostrophes what a shining example of the turtle beach fanbase
Are you joking? I'm speechless. Just... What? How?!?
Two of my friends got the night vision goggles for Mw2, one of my other friends got the £100 edition of Halo: Reach, because "It's the last one, might as well". Turtle Beach headsets do jack shit, went on Hardcore Search and Destroy with a pair of Ipod headphones, could hear everything.
Two of my friends got the night vision goggles for Mw2, one of my other friends got the £100 edition of Halo: Reach, because "It's the last one, might as well".
I fail to see what's wrong with that.
I fail to see what's wrong with that.
He pre ordered the £100 Halo Reach, massive waste of cash. Reason being it's the last one. Also got a book to fill in shitty plot holes and got action figures screwed into some bullshit plastic cliff, and a helmet with flames coming out of it on matchmaking.
They should add "Helps you see better in your mother's basement!"
Fuck you I live in my mothers basement!

It is self-explanatory unneccesary. Still comfortable though.
