I'm really not understanding all the hate for Fez. Never heard of it before, just played it through the bundle. It's just a generic platformer with a perspective-changing gameplay mechanic. I'm not seeing anything offensively bad on a Ride to Hell/Big Rigs level.

wow, Mark of the Ninja is surprisingly good.
I've seen a lot of criticism of [I]Fez[/I] for being like, an uninteresting platformer. Problem is,

Because you have a ton of hidden cryptic shit and stuff within your platformer doesn't mean you should disregard putting content in the actual platforming.
Remember how Braid had both a ton of convoluted story elements, the hidden stars, the cryptic books that changed contents if you did certain things, but at the same time still had a solid core with interesting puzzle mechanics ?

Braid doesn't make me want to fall asleep nearly as much as Fez did
and Fez really comes off as... the mentally retarded kind of video game. It tries to be really gorgeous and pretty with the 3d elements and new but, it feels so bland, generic. Nothing at all special about the game at all and no real incentive or drive to actually find any hidden secrets because of how slow the game feels even at first.

My point exactly. The actual puzzle-platforming part of Braid is fun and interesting, with the cryptic clues behind if you want an added layer of content.
Fez is just a boring bland platformer that happens to have some cryptic QR-Code based bullshit behind it.

No, because Braid had awful puzzle mechanics. [I]Really[/I] awful puzzle mechanics. Platforming was pretty dire, too.
I will buy someone an above the average bundle if they have a spare crusader kings 2 steam key from the paradox bundle that they would be willing to give me.

not the greatest pack in retrospect. i bought it for trine 2 and fez (out of curiosity), and FTL is cool too. but in general there's nothing in here that's very good and hasn't been in like a billion previous bundles.

i feel like bastion and limbo have been in every other bundle and brutal legend has been in at least 2 maybe 3. forgot about mark of the ninja, yeah that's pretty excellent.
it's not that the games are bad, but we're really starting to see these things repeat themselves.

brutal legend has been in this one and the double fine bundle.
bastion was in this one, humble bundle 5, and it had its own weekly bundle
limbo was in this one and humble bundle 5
mark of the ninja was only in this one
