The removal of Copy Abilities is definitely different for Kirby games, and it seems that Nintendo really likes using whips in their games nowadays. I can't wait to buy it, it looks awesome.
WHAT THE FUCK :gonk:
Well think of it this way, in the first kirby game, inhaling didnt give you a power in the first place. Is nothing surprising honestly.
I know, but it's called evolution. More cool features are added, not removed. I loved copying abilities. :sigh:
Honestly at least we are lucky to get Kirby Wii in some shape or form, waiting for the other Kirby game would have taken longer.
Honestly at least we are lucky to get Kirby Wii in some shape or form, waiting for the other Kirby game would have taken longer.
Yes, we are lucky to have a Kirby game on the Wii, but I'd much prefer if they'd went in the direction of Crystal Shards (combining abilities, more sidescroller-like).
Ohgodsyes they should make a new kirby like Crystal Shards, much laughs were had when I combined fire + electricity. FYI: It creates a power that makes Kirby rub his head with a piece of plastic to create static electricity, but it backfires and sets his head on fire.
Electric + Cutter was the shit in Kirby 64.
A lot of people are thinking that "Epic Yarn" means that it's called that just because yarn is involved, and think that the name is stupid. Epic Yarn also means "Epic Story/Tale", as yarn also can be a word for story. Just saying.
It's mostly just Play-On words. Yarn being both a Story and a piece of fancy String.
I just wish they didn't use Kirby as a test bed. "I've got an idea! What about a game where you're a ball and you have to use paint to make a path?" "Great! But what if they don't like the character we make?" "Oh, well, hm..." "HEY! Let's just use Kirby! Everyone loves him! HAHAHAHA"
I heard it's getting released this month :flashfap: [editline]12:40AM[/editline] Nvm Oct.17
I'm not the one with a TF2 avatar mate.
I do not understand how this is relevant or notable in the least. I can like TF2 whilst also liking other games. It's this wonderful thing called varied taste. I'm not sure exactly what reputation TF2 fans have garnered on this particular section of facepunch, but I frankly think you're all the more a moron for thinking this has any bearing on how I will think or act on this forum.

Anyone who has played it, how is it? I already know the music is fucking amazing. acoustic halberd :allears:
It's amazing
I heard it was really fun, but really easy and short - which makes it sound like a rental and not a $50 buy.
Just beat it today, and I think the boss battles were the most stylish parts.
The Octopus Boss was my favorite. Its fun, but not being able to die kinda sucks. Oh, and when a boss rapes you across the screen, and they stand on the Bead Stars you need to get a Gold medal.

wow blatant yoshis story rip off
I love the art style.
This may actually cause me to dust off my wii so I can play.
I'm waiting for my Wii to be repaired to play :) Fun times.
This is pretty much the worst big release title on the wii in my honest opinion. Once you get over the graphics and such it reveals itself to be one of the blandest platformers you could possibly imagine, I didn't think not dieing would be such a problem as it wasn't in the wario land games but it really is, bosses are rather fun but there's no real point in trying to dodge them when they can't kill you or kick you out of the stage or anything at all threatening. "Oh but you can get points!" To bad there's no leaderboard and points don't do a damn thing for you. The games filled with artificial padding to add hours of gameplay and it's pretty transparent when your reward is the ugliest clock in the world. What sucks even further is one big gameplay addition was decorating a house with treasures you find. This literally does nothing for you, at all. You can't share the room you make, you can't upload it to friends, nothing, it's really weak. Also what the hell is with the games music, kirby's known for energetic, almost flatout spastic songs that somehow plant themselves in your head for at least a period of time, I remember kirby games being one of the only franchises that made me go to the sound test mode and just listen to songs. Everything in Yarn is really subdued to the point nothing is memorable, and even when it's trying to be cheerful, somehow the piano that is in -every- song brings it down and makes it some depressing beat. Not a single song in the game that's new is memorable to me and it's all around lame Finally Kirby's lack of powers is downright inexcusable. I went in with a open mind, and hoped for the best, but when you take away his flying, his power absorbing, his everything that made him kirby, it's a wonder why they decided to shoehorn him into the damn thing. Which funny enough, it wasn't even kirby's game to begin with, it was fluffs. Overall it's a pretty big let down, kirby games are easy I admit but this just takes the cake on it, it's a game being sold just on charm alone, and not gameplay
wow blatant yoshis story rip off
holy shit finally someone that notices this
holy shit finally someone that notices this
Glad to see I'm not the only one :v: Joining this train of thought, after I turned into literally everything from yoshi's island I started wondering if this was supposed to be one of his games
I was so happy when this game was announced. I was all ready to pre-order it and everything. Then I happened to read that Kirby cannot suck up enemies and gain their abilities. That's like Mario not being able to jump. It's ridiculous. There is no way I'm buying this game. Even if it is an awesome game, it's not a Kirby game in my eyes.
