Yay,another server with this generator.I remember once there was a server that also had Primordial Desert on,there was one guy at the top of a mountain that build a ring in the air above it and used it to cover the mountain with lava.It was epic.He told us that if we can make it up,we could take what we want.I got there,along with others,it became almost a mini-town and I used a bucket of water to make a waterfall down the mountain so people could go up and down it easier.Sadly,the next day,they generated a new map. :(

Seems loading chunks rapidly in 1.6.6 is a disaster. Currently trying out a ramdisk configuration with preloaded chunks.

I heard form a different sever that generating new dungeons makes the game lag, could it be that?

Also, I know this is a vanilla server, but could you try out a speech limiter mod? Global chat seems to be too easy.

Someone could just chop down a tree, harvest saplings, plant, harvest more wood and saplings, and repeat. Wood wouldn't be a rare resource anymore.

Primordial desert is indeed an interesting generator, I've had one of the generated worlds setup on my server for a while and I have to say its one of the best generated worlds minus mystical islands which creates a challenge while being possible.

Currently got them both on dynmap here [url]http://mc.horobox.co.uk/[/url]

Also a you should have ideally been running this in ramdisk from the start, especially if you have the space.
