You mean KCGX, Merril C. Meigs airfield... It' closed now, which is a shame. Which is why in FS9 the new default starting location was Portland International... I think, I hardly remember anymore I still recommend Ultimate Traffic AI, FSPassengers, Level D Simulations 767-300 for FS9. That oughta take your Commercial Experience to a whole new level the default shit just doesn't come close to touching
I tried to resist the urge to correct you, but couldn't. It was Seattle-Tacoma Int'l, not Portland.
I agree the first time i played FSX i was quite disapointed by the effort put into the game
I only played flight simulators when I was little.. It gives a nostalgic kind of feeling.
FS11 is not in the works. Microsoft fired the development team 2 years ago. FS2004 was fantastic. I still have several hundred dollars worth of addons in my foot locker, even though I sold off FS2004 probably 3 or 4 years ago. I even produced a couple addons myself. Look up the Focke-Wulf Ta-183 on any of the big websites. That was my pet project for years. First did it for FS2002, then CFS2, then FS2004. Had a beta model for CFS3. Was working on the model for IL-2 but they told me they'd never do it. A few years later, 1946 came out. It had a Ta-183. I raged.
I love Flight Sim. Anyone here use VATSIM? My longest flight was ~3 hours from Minneapolis to Salt Lake City.
I freaking loved WWII 98 flight simulator. I played that game so much its not funny.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 4. Anyone want to contest it's title as best MSF game period?
Commercial Airliners + Doing pilot messages with liveatc.net in the background =

I tried a flight simulator once. I rage quit after 5 minutes because I couldn't find the ON button.
Lower left corner, was a key in the ignition
We need no keys where we are going :colbert: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3664177/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_X-2010-10-26_21.41.18.jpg[/img_thumb]

You know they are actually making a sequel right? http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/
Unless they use a totally new engine, its going to be shit.
i wanna get il2 sturmovik but i wanna know if a lot of people play multiplayer and how difficult is it?
this thread is for Flight Simulator. Look for the Il-2 thread.
well it IS called "Flight Simulator" it doesn't specify Microsoft Flight Simulator
well it IS called "Flight Simulator" it doesn't specify Microsoft Flight Simulator
I know, but it's the topic. Search for Il-2 and facepunch on google. Should work since the forum search is down.
My AFJROTC class has a simulator set up using FS 2004, I'm hopelessly lost trying to use it: I tried flying a helicopter; hovered 10 feet off the ground, wobbled around a little, flipped over and crashed. :saddowns: I did better than my classmates though, one taxied a 747 off the runway, tried to hit a hangar, missed, and rolled through a field before hitting a pine tree.
