This was the menu that was on my old 360 which I sold.
My brother then bought a used 360 and plugged it in, hadn't been online since it was purchased and had the nice old menu, then it asked if he wanted to update the firmware and obviously he pressed yes.
Rebooted and... Yeah.
It wasn't ugly, but it was so different it didn't look good.

I'm not particularely bothered. I'm not going to be using any of the new features, so to me it's just going from cluttered, ugly menus to new cluttered, ugly menus.
The sounds are annoying and the music is over the top, they went for the look of everything being neat and yet they made it look ugly and basic.

I like the look of it. Shame that my live subscription ran out today and I am broke. Quite an interesting coincidence in my opinion.
