New Dashboard is out! - Games

I hate it not only because it looks and sounds gay, but the fucking avatar awards and purchased avatar items are fucked. :argh:

All I want is the ability to change the color of the guide again, like you could on the original dashboard. I also want themes to have unique colors for the guide again. Example: I remember a gears of war theme made the guide red with gear cogs all over it. I'm just really not liking this bright white guide. Id also like them to get rid of the bottom of the screen that blocks half your theme. I [B]thought[/B] they were gonna do that.

I don't mind it but I dislike all the white. It looks like someone made the boxes (white by default) and then forgot to colour them.

Why should we care, you are going to rarely see the dashboard when you are on the xbox. You're not even going to see it at all if you have it set to go straight in game. Whilst I do like the new design, I am angry and disappointed that the indie game menu has been removed from games and demos and put into the speciality store section. There was no need. Now it is no longer immediately visible when you visit the game marketplace, and is sharing screen space with the music dlc stores.

Maybe in the future we can customize box color, text, etc. But for now, I don't see it as much of a big deal.

Seems fine to me. Don't know about you people, but I really don't spend much time in dashboard.

I personally don't care much, i spend most of my time in games. Crap XBL expired.

I got used to the new dashboard within the first hour after the update.

I can't get mine to update. Anyone know if you HAVE to have an active gold account to update? Mine expired and I'm broke :saddowns:

Well, after about 2 days of trying to get the stuff to download, I got it. Stupid slow internet. Anyways, I think it's alright. Not amazing, not shit, just alright. However, I don't spend any amount of time on the dashboard, and even if I have the dashboard on, I'm not looking at it.

I hate how every Xbox update gives it brighter and brighter colors.

Can you guys not handle a design change at all? You're just like the people that complain every time Facebook changes one tiny thing about the layout. I think the new dashboard looks much more sleek and nice. The first dashboard was ugly as sin. The one right before this one was getting better. Netflix search is nice though. Too bad there are only like 20% of the movies watchable on the 360.

Its so freaking buggy its freezing all the time and looks like shit. Also for HDTV users the color white can burn in really easily into the tv which sucks.
