Looks like the grenade is a quick key instead of a selectable weapon which I'm ok with really. The only thing along those lines that I hope they do not change is the knife. I want to have stupidly awesome knife fights again instead of what is going on in BFBC2. In BF2/2142 if I was fighting someone and they whipped out their knife I would do the same. 'Honor the knife fight'

battlefield is not a realistic game, it never has been yes it's more than realistic than most shooters out there

Quick Time Event. You know like press a certain button in 1 second or else you die.

I know the answer I'll get is probably "because the majority of players are too stupid to use it" or "too hard to do", but why don't games change QTE's so that you have to press buttons that relate an action to one of your limbs. eg: if you need to grab on to a chopper that's leaving for epic effect, press the two arm/hand buttons and you'll grab on. Some bad guy about to stab you when you are on the ground? Press a leg button at the right time to kick them in the nuts. I don't know why, but I feel this sort of system would be much more appropriate for battlefield rather than the shitty "press the flashing button to live".

COD is a fast-pasted FPS while Battlefield is more teamwork and "realistic".

Winning will simply be defined over what game sells more, BF3 or the latest COD. And BF3 has a very good chance of doing just that. Not only does it look great, and better than what COD has ever done for us in its SP, its reported that EA are going all out with the marketing this year spending near enough 50-100 million dollars.

I really, really doubt BF3 will outsell MW3. Not necessarily a bad thing, besides the humongous amount of money DICE will waste on marketing.
