No it's not. It's just this entire thread and newbies to the genre have been spoiled rotten by Bad Company 2.

Im not saying the game is terrible, its my favorite BF game, but there was a shit load of hacker and the highest populated server was 20 people, but it was just a bad day. Bad company get boring fast.
Damn, I just bought the Battlefield 2 Collection on steam, now I saw that Project Reality is fucking huge. It'll take ages to download.

Keep in mind that Facepunch is a PC-dominate community. Playing Battlefield 1942/2/2142 is a near-requirement for PC gamers.

90% of us have played a Battlefield game between 1942 and 2. I have played every one on release.
How do I get the grappling hook? I own that special forces expansion

I didn't mean to sound like that, I still play BC2 a shit-ton like I do BF2 and BF2142, probably more than the latter two. It's just upsetting when people pick up Bad Company 2 for the first time with little to no knowledge of the previous Battlefield games, and once they realize they exist, they tend to dislike them due to being so different from BF:BC2.
BC2 is basically a filler, a Frostbite 1.5 benchmarking program until Battlefield 3, [i]DICE has already admitted this themselves[/i]. I'm not going to be surprised if people don't like BF3 because it'll be more like BF2 than BC2.
