Yeah I apologise for that, someone asked a similar question on the Kotaku comments although with a lot more sarcasm and annoyance. I just copied and pasted my quote.
Heh, gonna throw it out there. Praise the lord (me).

OMFG :flashfap:
I actually thought that was in-game till I saw the roads, or better yet till I saw it at a bigger resolution like this.

It... isn't?

Never mind, looking more closely, I can see that it's not in-game. My mistake.
Karkand got big.
It's... awesome.

Still, as a BF2 veteran having played over 200 hours on Karkand, this is just amazing!
Can't wait! :v:
No Steam: The key cannot be activated via Steam but only through the game integrated multiplayer.
from the description, unless that isn't what you meant
How can i use the key if i cant use it on steam then?
EA Downloader.
just make a shortcut to it on steam and you will the get the overlay. unless you need to have steam update it for you, then it won't be much different.
EA Downloader.
Personally I'm never doing that again and I urge you guys to do the same.
During the BC2:Vietnam sale on Sunday for EA Week, Steam wouldn't let me purchase it (not even a key) because I had not bought the base game on Steam.
From now on, I am going to try and get as much as possible on Steam as I can. At least that way I can grab their great sales if it's dependent on previous games/items.

Same, too many problems on EA downloader, Steam is much more reliable.
I bought a CD key for BF2 a while ago and activated it on the EA download manager, worked fine.
I own the BF2 box set but then bought the BF2 that was on sale for steam. It's so much easier to maintain than the box set because steam auto updates and updating BF2 manually can be a pain sometimes.
I'm going to get a 560 so I can play this hopefully on very high settings.
my dual core processor running at 2.1 GHz should have no trouble what so ever
the blackberry has the same processor

Why don't you just wait for its replacement. Kepler is supposed to be out at if not right after Battlefield 3's release.

As long as it's not over 300 dollars...

lucky you, I have a 2.1 ghz triple core that seems to be using only one of its cores.

Same, my res isnt massive;1440 x 900, and I have my Q6600 Quad so im hoping they should pair together quite nicely. That and by the time BF3 comes out, the 560 should have dropped some more.
Started playing Forgotten Hope 2, quite fun, but there are very few occupied servers.
Do you think the GTX 460 will have issues?
Uhm, so I bought BF2 Complete Pack and figured out I don't have any expansion packs. I suppose I can get them from EA? Can someone provide me with a link please? :v:

The complete pack has special forces. Go into your Bf2 folder and find the exe. You can also launch the game and go to Community>Custom Games, and launch it from there.

You might not know of this, but the Euroforce and Armored Fury pack are actually free and included in the patch 1,5 of the game
