The PS2 Tank gets me every time I look at it. It's just so funny.
A gtx580 better be able to run it fine :colbert:
A gtx580 better be able to run it fine :colbert:
That will be more than enough.

I sure hope that BF3 won't have PunkBuster since it seems to kick random people instead of people who are cheating.

Hey awesome the BF3 wallpapers are the ones I found originally for the first megathread! :buddy:

The trailer was done on a beta version of the Frostbite 2 engine, so the final requirements will be pretty different from what they are right now. That's the magic of optimization :buddy: For sure a 460 gtx with a decent CPU will be more than enough to run it fine.
Good times.
Got BF2 a few weeks ago. PR every day all day.
Got BF2 a few weeks ago. PR every day all day.
PR can be so awesome when you get a good team.
PR can be so awesome when you get a good team.
And an even better squad
Driving the aircraft carrier off the map in Wake Island.
Driving the aircraft carrier off the map in Wake Island.
I wish I was there to experience the shit of younger BF games. Only played BC1 and 2 due to me being 14, but my brother had the PS2 game.
Then you've defiantly missed out on a lot. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] 1942 was like the best game ever for 3-4 years straight.
I remember downloading the BF1942 demo and it wouldn't even run because my computer was that bad.
I remember not being able to play BF2 on my old computer, so I went to our local gaming café and used a good amount of money to play on the Dell XPS computers there :allears: Nostalgia... :buddy:
I reinstalled BF1942 tonight, then installed battlefield 1918 and battlegroup42. Battlefield 1918 is kind of wasted. All this potential awesomeness and, while I did not check for sure, I highly doubt there's any servers. Most of the maps with bot support aren't that great and don't capture the western front very well. Also the trenches in Cambrai are broken. Battlegroup42 is amazingly awesome though.

My old rig was having a rough time in BF2 so i rushed to the cybercafe until i could afford some upgrades.
My GF Fx5600 was struggling to Run BF2 so I went out and got an X850 Pro and it was like having a completely new computer
Is it worth buying a old BF game before BF3 comes out?
Is it worth buying a old BF game before BF3 comes out?
Yes Hell yes. 1942, 2142, or just 2.
Yes Hell yes. 1942, 2142, or just 2.
Hmm. Alright.
Man I was forcing my little Toshiba laptop with a Celeron m and 756mb of ram to run bf2 back in the day. And some how I was able to get to first Sargent on low graphics with 45fps. It had so many problems like everywhere I walked it would spaz between the running and walking animations. It also kept stalling at the install so I had to attempt it like 5 times before it worked for the first time.
If anyone is going to install 2142 and patch it up, remember to load your game up and start a round after you install it before installing the patch, or else you'll lock up on the loading screens and have to re-install all over again

Might be buying a game, which one would you guys recommend? BF2 or BF 1942 or BF 2142?
