I hope your able to switch ammo, maybe one mag with flechette and the other with 12 gauge. So that your not stuck with one type of ammo
I would prefer we be able to stack the tube custom ala Arma 2 adn a few other games so I can have a buckshot round before each flechette
There will probably be a massive multiplayer event at E3. EA is going to market the fuck out of this game. I wouldn't be surprised if they had an entire wing of the LA Convention Centre set up with 64 PC's for a full scale multiplayer demo (and maybe 24 consoles too).
That'd be a hell of a way to unveil the multiplayer, if you ask me.
Didn't they pledge some stupid amount of money to marketing?

$100 million.
A rumor is going about on the EA UK forum that some people from DICE/EA are stating that the stuff shown for the Fault Line Trailers was just running on Med'ish graphics, and that they haven't been able to get a machine for the highest graphics... Dear fucking christ.

It's just that, a rumour. Makes no sense and is just the spawn of overhype. They said themselves they were playing it at max with a 580.

Good, good... Heartattack averted, and mass PC overhaul aswell.
Last year really only had Mass Effect 2 and maybe a couple other minor ones.
This year we have/had fucking Crysis 2, Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, Duke Nukem Forever, FEAR 3, RAGE, DOTA 2, Diablo 3, and Skyrim. :colbert:
Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, LA Noire, New SSX (cant wait for this, even so much as for BF3) :colbert:
Also, ME3 is delayed until 2012 unfortunately.
I don't know guys, I'm a huge BF fan (BF2 is my favorite FPS), BF3 is the first game I've ever preordered but I feel absolutely nothing about it.
Then you are not a huge BF fan.
If you guys were to guess how would my computer handle BF3? I know you can't know for sure but we can always speculate.
AMD Phenom II (4 cores, 3.4Ghz)
4GB Ram (DDR3)
XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 (1GB GFX memory)
MSI 790-FX GD-70 (mobo)
Also I really feel like preordering this game, I found it for 33 Pounds in the UK (shipping included) which is a pretty good price. On the other hand it would be nice to have on Steam since this game will probably get a lot of patches and having Steam fix that would be great. It will most likely cost like 50 Euros on Steam though and thats such a high price. A friend also mentioned that the Retail copies might have DRM and shit that the Steam version would lack.
£33? Its £30 at GAME. Unless your getting it on console.
And you do know STEAM IS the DRM. STEAM itself is DRM, its just done very well, and the only way its ever been done right.
[editline]29th May 2011[/editline]
Also, Modern Warfare 3 and BF3 are already being advertised the shit out off on television. Well here in the UK anyway, I've seen BF3 quite a bit the past few weeks. And last night, in the Champions League final's advertisements, MW3's advert appeared (now that its been revealed), followed a few adverts later by BF3's trailer. Release is so far off, but they're already competing over the airwaves.
READY.
FIGHT.
I dont even watch tv

Same amount of money that apparently GTA4 took to make

Looks like I am safe then. Now all I need to know which CPU can max it.
Im so hoping that all ill need will be new GPU to max this out. Pleasepleasepleaseplease!

Me too, I cant really afford to upgrade everything or invest in a new PC. My rigs not bad, 2.8GHz quad and 4GB ram. The 9800GTx is getting on a bit, but my resolutions only at 1440x900 so a new GPU could possibly max it nicely or have high settings at least.

Starcraft 2 sure is minor I heard.

Something tells me that they do not have the balls/sense to actually just do this!
Starcraft 2 sure is minor I heard.
It isn't that good of a game honestly.
And don't forget Deus Ex: Human Revolution coming out this year too!
It's gonna be interesting to see a shot of a map before and after a match.

Wasn't there talk about a spectating replay mode thingy?
Such a good timing, the same year i am going to upgrade my computer Battlefield 3 is released!

Really? That would be awesome.

One of the comments:
I can’t wait for BC3 but my only worry is the inclusion of prone, that is bowing to the needs of COD players and isn’t a good thing.
Uhh.
I just played Battlefield Play4Free, just to try it out, and being honest, I quite like it. It feels like Combat Arms and Battlefield 2 combined, and it works really well.
Uhh.
People are so used to CoD being the only game with prone now. Forgetting that older BattleFields did have it. I do wonder how it will work out in BF3 though, DICE removed it in the BC series as it was far to hard to hit people at range when they were prone thanks to the new ballistics. Plus it slowed the game down to a crawl compared to what it plays like right now.
Oh boi

this is a bad thing, nothing should feel like Combat Arms, it is a terrible excuse for a game.
I think it's shameful that they're making an expansion pack for launch.
I think it's shameful that they're making an expansion pack for launch.
I don't mind the expansion pack as long as the focus on destruction is as high as the playerbase a month after the game release.
this is a bad thing, nothing should feel like Combat Arms, it is a terrible excuse for a game.
I meant the weapon system, not the gameplay. Like buying weapons and outfits and stuff, that feels like CA.
Steam is positive value DRM, as in it adds value to the product, whereas most DRM is negative value and detracts from the product.
Lots of people re-buy games they own retail copies of just so that they can have them on their steam account.
[editline]29th May 2011[/editline]
Even my most hardcore Call of Duty friends are talking about how excited they are for Battlefield 3... i'm really hoping Battlefield 3 kicks the shit out of Modern Warfare 3.
Yep, even I do this.
I have re purchased Crysis and a few other games in sales just for the convenience of having them whenever and wherever I want.
I think it's shameful that they're making an expansion pack for launch.
Its not going to be ready for launch, they said that, a couple of months after maybe. But you can get it for free if you pre order, no big deal. If you want the game, and you want the pack, pre order. Its a no brainer.
If your talking about the physical warfare pack (thats not an expansion pack), I'm sure they wont make those additions overpowered of give someone an unfair advantage. Well I hope they balance it.
it's not hard to people at a distance in BC2..
